Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports that Matt den Dekker is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday. He's likely to take the place of Eric Young Jr. on the active roster, who is expected to be placed on the disabled list on Monday. The 26-year-old outfielder is hitting .275/.333/.431 with four homers and 26 RBI through 46 contests at Las Vegas.

Mets prospects OF Matt den Dekker had a huge game Tuesday, going 3-for-4 with four runs, a triple, home run, five RBI and two walks for Triple-A Las Vegas. The 25-year-old is now batting .280/.353/.413 with seven extra-base hits, 12 RBI and a 15/8 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 20 games for Las Vegas. den Dekker struggled in his first taste of the major leagues last season, posting a .546 OPS with a 23/4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 27 games. He's been swinging a hot bat of late, highlighted by a 1.036 OPS and nine RBI in his last 10 contests, but the Mets still opted to recall Bobby Abreu earlier this week to provide outfield depth.

Mets optioned OF Matt den Dekker to Triple-A Las Vegas. The 26-year-old outfielder put on a good show this spring in the Grapefruit League. It would have taken an emergency for him to win an Opening Day roster spot.

Matt den Dekker is currently sidelined with a stomach ailment. He should be back to 100 percent soon enough. Den Dekker could be in the mix for a reserve outfielder job this spring, but he'll likely begin the year at the Triple-A level.

Matt den Dekker went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base against the Nationals on Tuesday. den Dekker's sixth inning two-run single made it a 4-3 game, but the Mets wouldn't get any closer. The outfielder has played 10 games since being recalled by the Mets and has acclimated himself well, hitting .276/.323/.379 in 29 at-bats thus far. den Dekker is also 3-for-4 in stolen base attempts.

Matt den Dekker hit his first major league home run on Sunday night against the Nationals. den Dekker's solo homer gave the Mets a three run lead in the second inning and he finished 2-for-3 on the night. He was making just his second career start since being called up on Tuesday. den Dekker batted .296/.366/.486 at the Triple-A level this season and should continue to see regular playing time in center field with Juan Lagares.

Mets purchased the contract of OF Matt den Dekker from Triple-A Las Vegas. The 26-year-old had a late start on the season after fracturing his wrist during spring training, but he ended up batting .296/.366/.486 with six home runs, 38 RBI, and eight stolen bases over 53 games in Triple-A. It will be interesting to see how much work he'll get in center field given how solid Juan Lagares has been defensively, but he should see a fair amount of playing time either way. Keep an eye on him in NL-only fantasy leagues.

The 25-year-old suffered a fracture in his right wrist near the end of spring training while attempting a diving catch. Den Dekker should make his way up to Triple-A Las Vegas before long and could push for a promotion later this season.

Matt den Dekker (wrist) has been cleared to begin playing in games at extended spring training. The 25-year-old outfielder suffered a fracture in his right wrist near the end of spring training while attempting a diving catch. His rehab has finally been completed and he should be allowed to report to one of the Mets' minor league affiliates by the end of next week.

Matt den Dekker (wrist) will wear a cast for six weeks. Den Dekker suffered a fracture in his right wrist Sunday while trying to make a diving catch, but will not require surgery. He'll play with Triple-A Las Vegas once he's fully healed.
