Valbuena is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
With the Angels facing their third left-handed starter (Ariel Miranda) in the last four games, Valbuena will find himself on the bench once again. Platoon mate Jefry Marte will thus receive a starting nod at third base and bat sixth in the series finale.

Valbuena is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Valbuena is just 1-for-14 (.071) with seven strikeouts over his past five starts, so he'll get the day off to clear his head. C.J. Cron will start at first base in his stead, while recently recalled Jefry Marte will start at the hot corner.

Valbuena started at third base Tuesday, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in a 3-2 win over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old will take over as the Angels' primary option at the hot corner against righties after Yunel Escobar (hamstring) was placed on the disabled list Tuesday. He was already seeing regular playing time against right-handed starters at first, but the temporary move to third could earn him additional positional eligibility if he didn't possess it already. Valbuena is still batting a paltry .189 on the season, but he has picked up the power pace with six home runs over his last 25 games after contributing just five through his first 50 contests.

Valbuena is out of the lineup Sunday against the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Mike Scioscia will hand Valbuena day off with lefty Sean Manaea on the hill for the Athletics, allowing C.J. Cron to pick up a start at first base. The Angels are tentatively slated to face three right-handed pitchers during their series with the Orioles that begins Monday, so Valbuena should be in store for regular at-bats to open the new week.

Valbuena is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Valbuena heads to the bench after starting the past four games while going 6-for-15 with three home runs and six RBI during that span. With lefty J.A. Happ taking the mound for the Blue Jays, manager Mike Scioscia decided to give C.J. Cron the start at first. Valbuena could potentially remain out of the lineup for Saturday's outing as well, with Francisco Liriano drawing the start for Toronto.

Valbuena went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 10-4 loss to Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
He's now homered in three straight games, giving him 11 on the year. Valbuena's current .665 OPS would be his worst performance since 2012 with the Cubs, but his recent hot streak gives some hope that he'll finish off the season on a high note.

Valbuena went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday's extra-inning loss to Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
His power seems to be returning since the All-Star break -- Valbuena has now gone yard on back-to-back nights, and he has four blasts in his last seven games. The 31-year-old is still limping along with a .190 batting average, however, and with home runs so easy to find this year his fantasy value remains limited to deeper formats.

Valbuena went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Valbuena broke a 2-2 tie with his seventh-inning blast off starter Rick Porcello. Four of Valbuena's nine home runs have come since July 3, but his playing time at first base has been usurped of late by the surging C.J. Cron. While the veteran corner infielder still managed to work his way into the lineup by playing third base in this one, don't expect that to be an everyday occurrence unless he significantly improves his .184/.263/.353 line.

Valbuena is not in the lineup Saturday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
For the second night in a row, the Red Sox have a left-handed starter taking the hill (David Price). As a result, Valbuena will head to the bench again, allowing C.J. Cron to log another start at first base in his place.

Valbuena is not in the lineup Friday against the Red Sox, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per usual, Valbuena will head to the bench with a left-handed starter on the bump for the opposition. C.J. Cron will log a start at first base in his stead.
