Rangers manager Jeff Banister confirmed that Harrell would make his next scheduled turn in the rotation Thursday against the Rockies, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harrell was pulled with two outs in the fourth inning during Saturday's start against the Astros after yielding five walks and five hits, but he'll be given another shot to keep his spot on the starting staff after delivering quality starts in his preceding two turns. Free passes continue to be a major stumbling block for the right-hander, who has ceded three or more walks in each of his last five starts.

Harrell allowed just one run on five hits but lasted just 3.2 innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Saturday. He also struck out five and walked five.
EDGE Analysis
The five walks was a season-high and added up, causing Harrell to throw 92 pitches to retire just 11 batters. In two starts with Texas, Harrell has allowed four runs in 9.2 innings (3.72 ERA), but he also has eight walks and just seven strikeouts. Overall, Harrell is 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 28 strikeouts and 20 walks in 39 innings over seven starts this season.

Harrell (1-0) allowed three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two over six innings to earn the win Sunday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
In his first start since being acquired from the Braves, Harrell was staked to a 4-1 lead before giving up a pair of runs in the sixth inning, but the bullpen was able to hold on, helping him earn the victory. He's now fired four quality starts over his six outings, and he owns a 3.57 ERA on the season. He'll make his next start Saturday at the Astros.

Harrell will join the Rangers on Friday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nick Martinez was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday, freeing up a spot in the starting rotation for Harrell, who was acquired via trade with the Braves on Wednesday. Harrell struggled earlier in his career while in the American League, going 7-20 with an even 6.00 ERA in 50 appearances, but he posted a 3.38 ERA over five starts for Atlanta (3.69 FIP). He is penciled in to make his Rangers debut Sunday against the Royals.

Harrell was dealt from the Braves to the Rangers on Wednesday, Kevin McAlpin of Sports Radio 680 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harrell will likely slot in as the team's fifth starter after the recent struggles of both Kyle Lohse and Nick Martinez in the role. The 31-year-old owns a mixed bag of results in his five major league starts this season, allowing one or fewer in three of the five while allowing nine over 9.2 innings in his other two to compile a 3.38 ERA and 1.26 WHIP overall. Harrell has struggled with his command as well, owning just a 21:12 K/BB ratio over 29.1 innings. While the move to Texas should result in better run support, Harrell likely won't impact a ton of fantasy leagues.

Harrell (2-2) threw six shutout innings and allowed just four hits and three walks with four strikeouts in a win Tuesday over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Harrell now has three quality starts in his five chances in the Braves rotation. Most notably, he has allowed just one home run in his 29.1 innings with Atlanta. Home runs were a big reason why he struggled in 2013 with Houston -- he allowed 20 in 153.2 innings, a 1.2 HR/9, and finished with a 5.86 ERA. Turner Field is a favorable park for pitchers, so it might be the perfect place for Harrell to resurrect his career.

Harrell (1-2) allowed four runs on seven hits, struck out three and walked three over six innings in a loss to the Reds on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Atlanta spotted him a two-run lead, and the right-hander pitched worked around traffic in the first five innings to keep that intact, but he yielded four in the sixth. Harrell has allowed nine runs in his last 9.2 innings. He will try to bounce back in his next outing against the Twins on Tuesday.

Harrell (1-1) allowed seven runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four over 3.2 innings to take the loss Friday against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The first time he faced the Rockies' batting order, Harrell held them to just one run, but he then gave up six additional runs between the third and fourth innings to force his exit. After allowing just two runs in 13.2 innings over his first two starts with the Braves, this rough outing raised his overall ERA to 3.63. He'll make his next start Wednesday at the Reds.

Harrell (1-0) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five over 7.2 innings, but received no decision Thursday at the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Harrell shut down the Cubs' hitters with little trouble until giving up a run in his last inning of work before the bullpen let his 2-1 lead slip away, keeping him from earning his second win of the year. He's now put together a pair of quality starts in his first two outings with the Braves, and although he's not guaranteed to stick in the rotation, he'll likely make his next start after the All-Star break.

Harrell, who got the win in a quality start Saturday, will remain in the rotation to start Thursday's makeup game against the Cubs, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty shut down the Marlins on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits while striking out five across 6.0 innings of work to get the win over Jose Fernandez. Harrell's strong performance will afford him at least one more turn in the rotation as he'll get the start Thursday, but he'll have the tough task of keeping the Cubs in check.
