Martin was removed during the ninth inning of Saturday's win over the Mariners with a tight hamstring, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Terry Francona indicated it may have been a precautionary exit for Martin given the cold and wet conditions, but it's nonetheless worth keeping an eye on. The 31-year-old should be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Martin went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Martin uncorked a solo homer over the fence in right field during the third inning, handing the Indians an early 1-0 lead. Entering Thursday's contest, the 31-year-old hadn't secured an extra-base hit since April 16, so his fourth homer of the year was a welcome sight. He's batting .256 with seven RBI through 23 games in 2019.

Martin will start in center field and hit second Wednesday against the Marlins, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Francisco Lindor back from the injured list and slotting in as the Indians' new leadoff man, Martin has transitioned to a regular role in the two hole. While hitting second over the past three contests, Martin has gone 3-for-12 with four runs scored. Slotting in between Lindor and Jose Ramirez in the order should continue to yield plenty of run-scoring opportunities for the center fielder.

EDGE Analysis
Martin was a major part of the Indians' offense Thursday, blasting his second home run of the season in the second inning against Spencer Turnbull. He also added an RBI single in the fourth inning to extend the team's lead to 3-0. Martin had gotten off to a slow start to the season, but is now riding a three-game hitting streak that includes two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored.

Martin went 1-for-3 and led off the game with a homer during Cleveland's 8-2 win over the Tigers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Martin got the Indians off to a quick start by pulling the second pitch of the game into the right-field seats. The 31-year-old entered the game only 4-for-27 on the season, and this was his first homer and RBI of 2019. He'll need to build on this effort to remain installed as the Cleveland leadoff hitter.

Martin is not in Saturday's lineup against the Blue Jays, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty Thomas Pannone on the hill for Toronto, Martin takes a seat. Greg Allen starts in center field and hits atop the order.

Martin will start in center field and bat leadoff Saturday against the Twins, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Martin could drop in the lineup when the Indians face left-handed pitching, but the outfielder has thus far garnered the leadoff assignment in both of the team's first two games versus right-handed starters. He went 1-for-4 with a double and two strikeouts in the Tribe's Opening Day loss.

The Indians have named Martin their starting center fielder, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After reporting to camp healthy following his recovery from a serious bacterial infection that sidelined him late last season, Martin always looked to have the inside track on the everyday center-field role. The Indians' lack of meaningful additions to the outfield aided Martin's claim to the starting gig more so than anything else, but the 31-year-old has made the decision easy for the Tribe by going 10-for-31 at the dish with two home runs in Cactus League play. Martin has often been deployed as the Indians' leadoff man this spring and could slot in atop the order on Opening Day if Francisco Lindor (calf) is forced to open the campaign on the injured list.

Martin has gone 8-for-16 with a pair of home runs and three RBI through his first six Cactus League games.
EDGE Analysis
Back to full health after dealing with a life-threatening bacterial infection last August that resulted in an extended hospital stay, Martin looks well on his way to sewing up an everyday role this spring, barring any late additions to the Cleveland outfield. Martin served as the Tribe's leadoff man in his most recent start Tuesday against the White Sox and could find himself atop the order early during the regular season if Francisco Lindor (calf) opens on the year on the injured list.
