Lohse (ankle) threw a bullpen session Friday, Andrew Gruman of FOX Sports Wisconsin reports. Lohse tweaked his ankle his last time out, and it was later revealed that he has been dealing with ankle soreness for roughly two weeks. With an off day Monday, the Brewers decided to skip Lohse this time through the rotation, but Friday's bullpen session should put him on track to start Monday against the Padres. Health permitting, he'll make two starts next week, with the second coming Aug. 31 against San Francisco.

The Brewers will skip Lohse (ankle) this time through the rotation, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Monday's off day will provide the Brewers the flexibility to skip Lohse, who tweaked his ankle while batting his last time out. The injury is not considered serious, so Lohse should just miss the one turn. As things line up, he'll toe the rubber Aug. 25 against the Padres in the first of two starts that week.

Lohse's ankle injury is not considered serious, but he could miss his next start, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel repots. It doesn't appear Lohse is facing a long-term absence, but he has reportedly been dealing with a sore ankle over his last three starts, so the Brewers may skip his next turn through the rotation in order to give him some time to rest. Expect a clearer outlook on Lohse's status to emerge over the next few days.

Lohse left Wednesday's game against the Cubs after tweaking his right ankle while batting in the third inning, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Lohse stayed in the game initially after suffering the injury but was ultimately replaced by Marco Estrada in the bottom of the fourth. Estrada would presumably toe the rubber next Tuesday against Toronto if Lohse is unable to go, but Lohse should be considered day-to-day and questionable to make that start until more information becomes available.

Lohse was quality against the Dodgers on Friday night, allowing one run on six hits, walking two and striking out two over six innings, but came away with a no-decision in the contest. Lohse wasn't particularly sharp, needing 105 pitches (68 for strikes) to cover the six innings, but it was a very nice bounce back after he was thumped for nine runs (seven earned) over just four innings in his last start. He'll get the Cubs in Wrigley Field next time out.

Kyle Lohse tossed 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball Wednesday as the Brewers defeated the Reds. Lohse was sharp, yielding only four hits and two walks while pitching into the seventh inning. The veteran right-hander ran into a bit of a rough patch in early July, but he's back on track now with two straight one-run outings. Lohse will carry an 11-4 record, 3.07 ERA, and 1.09 WHIP into his next start on the road against the Rays.

Kyle Lohse fired seven innings of one-run ball Friday in a 4-2 win over the Nationals. It was his first win since June 22. Lohse gave up 10 hits, so the Nationals had their fair share of chances, but the only run scored on an RBI double from Ian Desmond in the fourth inning. He fanned three and walked none in the victory. The veteran right-hander has a solid 3.16 ERA across 20 starts this season and continues to be a quietly valuable option in mixed leagues.

Kyle Lohse pitched seven innings of one-run ball against the Rockies on Friday, in a game that Milwaukee ultimately won 3-2. Lohse didn't factor into the decision. He was locked in a pitcher's duel for much of this one, as he and Rockies' starter Tyler Matzek both put up almost identical lines. Lohse scattered seven hits over his seven innings, striking out three and walking one. On the season, he's 9-2 with an ERA of 3.08, helping the Brew Crew to the best record in the majors as we near the All Star Break.
