Morneau went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer Friday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Morneau's first homer of 2016 gave the White Sox a 5-4 lead in the fifth inning of a home loss. He's now hit safely in four of his five starts since joining the White Sox, and he's hitting .278 in his short tenure with the club.

Morneau is out of the lineup Monday against Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Morneau will likely be restricted to at-bats against right-handed pitching. With the Mariners starting southpaw Wade LeBlanc on Monday, the White Sox will start Avisail Garcia at DH. In 2014, the last time Morneau played over 100 games, he had an OPS of .927 against righties and just .665 against lefties.

Morneau went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in his first start as a White Sox on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Morneau had the chance to tie the game with runners in scoring position with two outs in the top of the ninth, and he instead whiffed by the hand of Matt Shoemaker. Morneau only had 23 rehab at-bats after his year-long layoff, so it may yet take him a little while to get into the swing of things.

Morneau will be in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels, CSN's Dan Hayes reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morneau was used off the bench and saw a pinch-hit at-bat Friday in his first game with his new squad, but he will get a chance to see a full set of at-bats Saturday night against Angels starter Matt Shoemaker.

Morneau (elbow) was activated from the 15-day DL prior to Friday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old first baseman/designated hitter hit just .174/.321/.261 in eight rehab games between Triple-A and Double-A, but will give the White Sox some added depth on offense. Morneau, a left-handed hitter, makes for a nice platoon partner with righty Avisail Garcia at DH, although the White Sox may play him sparingly initially and let the veteran earn the larger share of that job.

Morneau has gone 4-for-23 (.174) in eight rehab games for Double-A Birmingham.
EDGE Analysis
Although he's yet to collect a multi-hit game during his rehab assignment, he's seen at least two at-bats in each outing and appears to have encountered no setbacks thus far. The 35-year-old should be in line to return to the White Sox once the second half begins on July 15 where he'll inherit a .310/.363/.458 slash line over 49 games.

Morneau (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Once he gets a few games under his belt after missing all of spring training while recovering from offseason elbow surgery, Morneau should be cleared to join the White Sox shortly after the All-Star break. He'll be a candidate to see time at DH, where the White Sox has received limited production from the likes of Avisail Garcia this season. Morneau could also spell Jose Abreu at first base once or twice a week, allowing Abreu to serve as the DH.

Morneau (elbow) wants to start his rehab early next week with Triple-A Charlotte, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morneau wants to return to the team shortly after the All-Star break, as the club will open the second half of their season July 15 against the Angels. He underwent elbow surgery in December and was recently signed to a one-year deal by the White Sox earlier this month. The club is taking is slow with Morneau, as he has continued to make steady progress in the past couple weeks, but Chicago badly needs a spark in their lineup to help them regain their early season form.

Morneau (elbow) appears to be targeting July 15 for his White Sox debut, Scot Gregor of the Daily Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox have yet to outline an official plan for Morneau to head out on a rehab assignment, but assuming he endures no setbacks in his on-field workouts, early July seems like a safe estimate. Morneau signed with the team June 9 and has spent the last two-plus weeks taking part in a de facto spring training after offseason elbow surgery prevented him from swinging a bat for six months. He could displace Avisail Garcia as the White Sox's primary DH once he officially joins the team.

Morneau (elbow) took batting practice on the field Saturday, Dan Hayes of CSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morneau has remained on the 15-day DL since signing with the White Sox back on June 9, but he continues to make steady progress in his recovery from December elbow surgery. The expectation is that the veteran could head out on a rehab assignment early next month before a potential return to the big league roster following the All-Star break.
