J.P. Arencibia bombed a pair of home runs on Thursday, though it wasn't enough to lead the Blue Jays over the Royals. He finished the night 2-for-4 with three runs driven in. After suffering an extreme power drought with just one home run in June, Arencibia has now hit three already in the month of July. He's produced pretty much as expected this season, with an atrocious .226 average and solid power numbers of 13 homers and 41 RBI.

J.P. Arencibia hit a pair of solo home runs in Sunday's 12-6 loss to the Rangers. Colby Rasmus also went deep for the Jays. The two-homer day was Arencibia's second of the season, and gives him nine bombs through his first 40 games. He's still not drawing any walks, but his .245/.273/.476 line should be more than getting it done for owners in two-catcher mixed leagues.
