Johnson pitched a perfect ninth inning Saturday to notch his eight save of the season in a 5-2 win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
He continues to post solid numbers at the back of the Braves' bullpen, and Johnson now has a 3.00 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 19:3 K:BB in 18 innings. Assuming he's still in Atlanta after the trade deadline, the 33-year-old is well on his way to topping last season's 20 saves.

Johnson pitched a clean ninth inning Friday against Washington to secure his seventh save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson is now 7-for-9 in save chances on the season, and has converted four in a row. He has an impressive 19:3 K:BB on the season, while only allowing 13 hits in 17 innings. There are more reliable closers than Johnson, but he's certainly an asset who will see his fair share of save opportunities as the season wears on.

Johnson pitched a perfect ninth inning Saturday in Miami to capture his sixth save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Although not the dominant closer he once was, the 34-year-old has been as good as owners could have (realistically) hoped for this season. Johnson is now 6-for-8 in save chances while owning a 1.07 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB through 14 innings. Without any competition breathing down his neck, Johnson is a safe bet to offer consistent production at a good price.

Johnson struck out the only batter he faced to notch his fifth save of the season in Tuesday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves took a 9-3 lead into the ninth inning and didn't seem like they'd need Johnson's services, but after Matt Wisler surrendered a grand slam to Jay Bruce the closer got called into duty to finish out the ninth. Johnson's 4.50 ERA isn't pretty and he has two blown saves in seven chances so far this season, but his 13:2 K:BB through 10 innings should supply him with plenty of job security.

Johnson struck out two in a perfect ninth innings Friday to pick up his fourth save of the season in a 10-8 win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
It was a strong bounceback effort after Johnson had been tagged for four runs in his previous two appearances. His 4.66 ERA and 1.34 WHIP are far from elite, but the 33-year-old's 12:2 K:BB through 9.2 innings suggests his spot as the Braves' closer isn't in any immediate jeopardy.

Johnson gave up two runs on three hits in an inning of work during Thursday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves held a 6-3 lead entering the ninth inning as Johnson warmed up, but they tacked on an insurance run in the top of the ninth to remove the save situation. The 33-year-old came into the game anyway and had some trouble putting the Mets away. Johnson's now given up four runs over his last two appearances to send his ERA soaring to 5.19, but his 10:2 K:BB through 8.2 innings and .432 BABIP indicate he's been more than a little unlucky. His spot as the Braves' closer likely isn't in much jeopardy.

Johnson struck out a pair in a perfect inning of work to record his third save of the season in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson wasted no time as he was called upon to close out a two-run game, retiring the side in order on just 12 pitches, eight of which went for strikes. The veteran blew his first opportunity of the season, but he has converted each of his last three chances, allowing just one baserunner while striking out four.

Johnson gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to notch the save in a 5-2 win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran closer is off to a solid start to 2017, picking up a win and two saves with a 1.80 ERA and a 5:2 K:BB in his first four appearances. Johnson should have plenty of job security as long as he remains in Atlanta, but if the 33-year-old pitches well in the first half he could find himself on the trading block for a team fully committed to a youth movement.

Johnson struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to pick up his first save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran reliever now has a solid 2.25 ERA and 4:2 K:BB through his first four innings on the season. The Braves haven't been winning many games so far, but Johnson seems set as their closer when they do have a lead to protect.

Johnson blew his first save of the season Sunday against the Pirates, allowing a run on a hit and two walks in an inning of work.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson entered with a one-run lead and proceeded to load the bases before an RBI groundout from Francisco Cervelli tied the score. The Pirates ultimately won in extra innings, casting a light on the poor performance of the offense and the bullpen, as Julio Teheran allowed just two unearned runs through seven innings. Johnson blew just three saves in 23 opportunities last season and should still have a firm grip on the closer's role despite failing to nail down his first chance in 2017.
