Brewers activated RHP Jim Henderson from the 15-day disabled list. Henderson missed the minimum amount of time with a strained right hamstring. The hard-thrower posted a 0.92 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 23/5 K/BB ratio through 19 2/3 innings before going down and should get his closer job back even though Francisco Rodriguez has pitched well.

Jim Henderson (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list on Sunday. The Brewers optioned Tyler Thornburg to Triple-A on Saturday to make room for Henderson's return. With Francisco Rodriguez doing an admirable job while Henderson was away, and sitting on 298 career saves, it will be interesting to see how Brewers' skipper Ron Roenicke handles the back end of his bullpen.

Jim Henderson (hamstring) pitched a scoreless ninth inning, allowing one hit and striking out three in his first rehab appearance for Low-A Wisconsin on Friday. Henderson believes he'll be able to return from the disabled list on Sunday, and if the way he threw the ball Friday was any indication, it doesn't look like he'll miss a beat. With Francisco Rodriguez and John Axford pitching at a high level, the Brewers look to have one of the more formidable bullpens in the National League.

Jim Henderson (hamstring) stated Friday that he feels his hamstring is 100 percent and that he expects to be activated from the disabled list Sunday. He'll begin a minor league rehab appearance with Low-A Wisconsin on Friday. Before the injury, he had been lights out as the Brewers closer, compiling a 0.92 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 23/5 K/BB ratio through 19 2/3 innings. While Francisco Rodriguez has performed well in his stead, Henderson should once again get the ball in the ninth inning upon his return.

Jim Henderson (hamstring) said Monday that he's "real confident" he will be activated from the disabled list on Saturday, the first day he's eligible. After playing catch again on Tuesday, Henderson will throw a bullpen session Wednesday and either a simulated inning or an appearance in the minors on Friday. If he goes through all that without having a setback, he should return to the closer role this weekend. "I feel like I could go pitch effectively now," said Henderson after playing catch on Monday. "But the intensity will ramp up with the bullpens and stuff, so just make sure that's OK."

Brewers placed RHP Jim Henderson on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring. Henderson injured the hamstring during Friday's game, and it turned out to be severe enough to require a trip to the DL. A corresponding roster move will be made on Sunday. There is no indication as to who might save games while Henderson is out. Francisco Rodriguez and John Axford are the primary candidates.

Jim Henderson was removed from Friday's game against the Pirates during a save opportunity due to a right hamstring injury. No word yet on the extent of the injury, or how much time he could be sidelined, but Henderson didn't sound very encouraged when talking with reporters after the game. He said that the injury occurred while attempting to field a ground ball off the bat of Russell Martin. Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said that if Henderson were to miss time, he would employ a closer-by-committee including Francisco Rodriguez, John Axford and Michael Gonzalez.

Jim Henderson was removed from Friday's game against the Pirates due to an apparent leg injury. No word yet on the extent of the injury or how much time he may miss. Francisco Rodriguez, and not John Axford, replaced Henderson with the Brewers clinging to a one-run lead. The team should release an update on his status after the game.

Jim Henderson earned his ninth save of the season as the Brewers beat the Dodgers 5-2 on Tuesday. Henderson's save capped off a total of 5 2/3 scoreless innings from the Milwaukee bullpen. He surrendered a hit and a walk but struck out the other three batters he faced and now boasts a 0.95 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 23/5 K/BB ratio in 19 innings this season. The right-hander has been a waiver wire gem so far and should be a steady fantasy closer all year.
