Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports that the Rockies are expected to target Jesse Crain this season.
That's assuming that Crain is healthy, which is no given after he missed the last three months of the season due to shoulder issues. The veteran reliever was brilliant when able to take the mound in 2013, posting a 0.74 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 38 appearances.

The move clears a spot for Kevin Kiermaier on the active roster for game 163. Crain was activated from the disabled list just one week ago, but his shoulder is still giving him issues.

Rays activated RHP Jesse Crain from the 60-day disabled list.
Tampa Bay acquired Crain from the White Sox in July and will finally get to use him. The right-hander missed two months with a right shoulder injury and will likely be eased into high-leverage relief situations.

Jesse Crain (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Monday.
Crain has yet to make an appearance for the Rays after being acquired at the trade deadline while he was on the DL with a shoulder issue. He's sure to be used in low-leverage situations initially, but if he can show he's healthy he could be an important piece for them during a postseason berth.

Jesse Crain (shoulder) could be activated from the disabled list Friday.
Crain threw 20 pitches and allowed a home run in an instructional league game on Thursday. He likely wouldn't be available out of the Rays' bullpen until at least Saturday, but it's possible they'l go ahead and activate him Friday. "I feel comfortable," Crain said. "I threw strikes with all my pitches, which is the biggest thing to tell if I'm close to being ready or not. Ultimately, it's going to come down to what [the Rays] want to do, also. You want them to feel comfortable with me going into a game."

The Rays will decide Wednesday whether Jesse Crain (shoulder) is ready to be activated from the disabled list.
Crain, out since late June with a shoulder strain, said he felt good after throwing to hitters Monday. Because he's on the 60-day disabled list, the Rays will have to make a 40-man roster move in order to activate him. He has yet to pitch for Tampa Bay.

Jesse Crain (shoulder) had a successful throwing session Monday afternoon against live hitters.
"It looked pretty similar to what I remember seeing," said teammate Sam Fuld, who served as a simulated batter. Crain was acquired from the White Sox on July 29 but has yet to make an appearance in a game for the Rays because of a lingering right shoulder injury. The hope is he'll be cleared for activation at some point this week.
