Jeremy Guthrie was shelled for five earned runs in six innings Wednesday in a loss to the White Sox. Guthrie has been lit up now in three straight starts and there is no light at the end of the tunnel. The 34-year-old right-hander will carry a 4.27 ERA and 1.39 WHIP into his next scheduled outing against the Rays.

Jeremy Guthrie was hammered for five earned runs in six innings Saturday as the Royals lost to the Red Sox. Guthrie threw a complete-game shutout against the Twins on Monday but looked like a completely different pitcher on Saturday at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium. He coughed up 10 hits -- including two Jacoby Ellsbury doubles -- and also issued a walk. The right-hander will carry a 4.10 ERA and 1.37 WHIP into his next outing in Detroit.

Jeremy Guthrie hurled his second complete-game shutout of the season as the Royals smoked the Twins 13-0 on Monday. Guthrie never had a shutout until throwing one against the White Sox on May 5. This makes two, and it's his fourth straight win after a pre-All-Star break slump. He's now 12-7 with a 3.96 ERA. It's the first time since mid-June that his ERA has been under 4.00.

Jeremy Guthrie allowed just one run over six innings against his former team as the Royals beat the Orioles 7-1 on Thursday. Guthrie has faced the Orioles twice this year and beaten them both times, allowing a total of three runs in 13 innings. He's been struggling against the rest of the AL lately, but he does have an easy matchup coming up next week against the Twins.

Jeremy Guthrie was tagged for five runs on eight hits over seven frames in Saturday's loss to the Indians. Guthrie punched out three and walked three on the evening. This game was a pitching duel, with the Royals trailing 1-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, before Lonnie Chisenhall's grand slam broke the game open. Guthrie finishes the first half with an 8-6 mark, 4.25 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 58/43 K/BB ratio in 120 2/3 innings. His inability to generate strikeouts, and propensity for allowing baserunners makes him an extremely risky fantasy option moving forward.

Jeremy Guthrie pitched 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball to pick up a victory over the Yankees on Monday. Guthrie came back out after a one-hour rain delay and ended up notching his first win in a month. He had given up 17 earned runs over 22 innings in his previous four starts. Guthrie will face the Indians in Cleveland in his final start before the break.

Jeremy Guthrie was charged with five runs in 6 1/3 innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Indians. That doesn't tell anywhere near the whole story. The first three runs came on the inside-the-park homer on which Alex Gordon got hurt. That ball, hit by Jason Kipnis, probably should have been caught. Then, in the seventh, the lights suddenly went out at Kauffman Stadium, resulting in a 12-minute delay. Guthrie, thrown off his rhythm, walked back-to-back batters afterwards and was pulled. The two runners came around to score off Will Smith. Under different circumstances, Guthrie's ERA would have gone down tonight. Instead, it increased.

Jeremy Guthrie (hand) is expected to be ready to make his scheduled start on Wednesday. Guthrie was hit on the pitching hand by a comebacker during his last outing, but he said Saturday that the hand was feeling much better. "It's good," he said. "The swelling has gone down, and I'm able to play catch." The right-hander will get the Indians on Wednesday.

Jeremy Guthrie was chased for six runs in just 2 1/3 innings Friday in a loss to the White Sox. Guthrie really labored, allowing five hits and three walks while notching just one strikeout. It was the first time he had pitched fewer than five innings in a start this season. The veteran right-hander is missing fewer bats than ever before and has always been homer-prone, which is a troubling combination for fantasy owners. He'll face the Twins next week in Minnesota.

Jeremy Guthrie held the Tigers to two runs in 6 1/3 innings and the Royals bullpen did the rest Monday in a 3-2 victory. Guthrie gave up a homer to Miguel Cabrera, but that happens to everyone. The Tigers couldn't do any other damage, even though Guthrie finish the night with no strikeouts, three walks and a HBP. He improved to 7-3 with a 3.60 ERA.
