Shuck signed a minor league deal with the Twins on Saturday that includes an invitation to spring training, MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger reports.

While Shuck's glove has earned him plenty of starts over the course of the campaign, he's been anemic at the plate, slashing .214/.256/.314 across 225 plate appearances and contributing four homers, two steals, 14 RBI and 21 runs.

Shuck was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday.

Shuck will start in center field and bat eighth in the order Sunday against the White Sox.

It's the fourth straight start and fifth in the last six games for Shuck, who still looks to be the White Sox's preferred option in center field. Shuck hasn't been able to parlay the increased opportunities into lasting fantasy value, as he's hitting just .210 with one homer and five RBI over 62 at-bats in June.
