Miami Marlins outfielder J.B. Shuck has been designated for assignment on Thursday. This move is in anticipation of Garrett Cooper being activated from the 60-Day Disabled List. The 31-year-old has hit for a .192 average so far in 2018, and it is unsure if another team will pick Shuck up. The veteran has been in the league since 2011, and owns a career .244 average while playing for five different teams.

Nearly two months after his last multi-hit performance, Miami Marlins outfielder J.B. Shuck had four hits in the Marlins loss on Thursday against the Giants. Shuck finished 4-for-7 with two doubles and a run scored. While it's nice to see him hitting again, Shuck has no fantasy value at all right now, even in the deepest of NL-only leagues.

After making his first start in the outfield on Friday night, Brian Anderson is out of the Miami Marlins lineup on Saturday against the Colorado Rockies. This appears to be nothing more than a day off for Anderson, who had started in all 25 of the Marlins' games this season. With Anderson out, J.B. Shuck will start in right field against German Marquez. Look for Anderson to return to the lineup for tomorrow's series finale against Colorado.
