Werth (toe) will be placed on the disabled list Monday, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Werth was sore after fouling a ball off his toe Saturday, and although X-rays came back negative, it seems like the Nationals are going to take the cautious approach with their starting left fielder and keep him out of action at least 10 days. Ryan Raburn is expected to be called up to fill the void.

X-rays taken on Werth's toe came back negative, but the veteran could still miss a few games, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports. "That's the same toe he fouled the ball off [in spring training], and I think he missed two or three games then," Nationals manager Dusty Baker said. "He's not looking good, but the X-rays were negative, but he's on crutches. It's not looking good for now."
EDGE Analysis
The club hasn't ruled out a DL stint, but for the moment no move seems imminent. Brian Goodwin will patrol left field while Werth is sidelined.

Werth (foot) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Dan Kolko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Werth was in quite a bit of pain Saturday after fouling a ball off his foot and will sit out Sunday's contest in order to give his injured foot additional time to heal. It doesn't sound like he'll require a trip to the disabled list, though we'll just have to wait and see what team's plans are for their veteran outfielder. Brian Goodwin will take over in left field Sunday.

Werth said his left foot is sore after fouling a ball off it in the ninth inning of Saturday's game against the A's, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Werth seemed to be in excruciating pain after the incident, but finished the at-bat by singling to right field before being replaced by Wilmer Difo. The 38-year-old outfielder has started the last five games, so it wouldn't be a major surprise if the Nats had him sit out Sunday's series finale. Adam Lind would be the most likely replacement for him in left field.

Werth went 2-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's rout of the A's.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran slumped over the final weeks of May, and even with Friday's performance Werth has a .163/.293/.347 slash line with two homers, six RBI and six runs in his last 14 games. The Nats' potent offense has been providing him with run-producing opportunities even as he's struggled to collect hits, and as a result Werth has a high fantasy floor as long as he can stay off the DL.

Werth is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
After making eight straight starts in left field, Werth will relinquish the position for a day to Adam Lind. The veteran outfielder has found himself in a bit of a slump of late, going 4-for-38 (.129) at the plate over his last nine contests.

Werth is not in the Nationals' Thursday lineup against the Pirates, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Two days from his 38th birthday, Werth will receive a breather in the getaway game. He's putting on his best performance in years, batting .309/.409/.496 with six home runs, 22 runs scored and three steals in 137 plate appearances. Brian Goodwin bats second and takes his place in left field for the day.

Werth went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
After getting a couple games off to rest a sore groin Werth was right back in top form to begin the Nats' six-game road trip. The 37-year-old is now slashing a remarkable .316/.414/.509 on the season, but his .405 BABIP is a warning sign that rougher times are ahead.

Werth (groin) is batting second and playing left field Tuesday against the Pirates, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Werth is back in the lineup for the Nats after missing both games of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies with groin discomfort. The 37-year-old will look to pick up where he left off at the plate, as he was slashing .481/.563/.889 with three homers and a 6:5 K:BB in the seven games prior to tweaking his groin.

Werth is still experiencing groin discomfort and won't play in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Phillies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals have Monday off, so consider Werth day-to-day heading into Tuesday's outing against the Pirates. Prior to hurting his groin, Werth had been putting on a show at the plate. Over the last seven games he'd gone 13-for-27 (.481) with three home runs.
