Hammel (4-6) allowed two runs on seven hits and struck out four over seven innings in a win Monday against Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Hammel was extra efficient, as he didn't walk a batter and induced nine ground balls en route to using only 91 pitches to get through seven innings. After struggling to find his footing to start the season, Hammel has now worked four consecutive quality starts and has lowered his ERA from 6.18 to 4.83 in June.

Hammel (3-6) pitched 6.2 innings, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk, with four strikeouts in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
That makes three straight quality starts for Hammel, who held his opponent to one run for the second time in a row. After a rough start to the season, the Royals righty is showing signs of like. In June, Hammel is 2-0 with a 2.21 ERA over 20.1 innings. He'll take on rookie Brian Johnson and the Red Sox on Monday in his next start.

Hammel (2-6) was dominant Thursday against Houston, allowing just one run on four hits and no walks while striking out four, yet he did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Lance McCullers matched Hammel pitch for pitch over his own impressive seven-inning outing, stopping the latter from picking up consecutive wins. On the bright side, Thursday was Hammel's most impressive performance of the season, and the second straight game in which he did not allow a free pass (something he hadn't done before June). The 34-year-old veteran will look to carry his momentum into Wednesday's start against the Giants.

Hammel (2-6) allowed three runs on five hits while striking out seven over 6.2 innings to earn the win Saturday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Hammel gave up all three of his runs on a pair of homers in the second inning, but otherwise held the Indians offense in check to earn his second win of the year. Despite firing quality starts in two of his last three outings, his 5.93 ERA makes him a player to avoid in fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Astros.

Hammel went 1-3 while posting an ugly 5.83 ERA and allowed six home runs over his five May starts.
EDGE Analysis
Coming off a career-best season with the Cubs, Hammel has been nothing less than a major disappointment through 10 games as a Royal. Among qualified MLB starters this year, Hammel's 6.18 ERA this season ranks 89th out of 93. The 34-year-old's 4.1 BB/9 and 65 percent strand rate are his worst marks since 2007 with Tampa Bay. If history repeats itself, the righty will see things turn around in June, which has statistically been his best month over his 11-year career.

Hammel is scheduled to start Saturday's game against the Indians, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hammel will take the mound one day earlier than expected, as he's set to start Saturday's outing instead of Sunday's. Hammel last pitched Monday, so he'll still have regular rest before returning to the hill. Hammel has struggled through his first 10 starts this season and is 1-6 with a 6.18 ERA and 1.71 WHIP.

Hammel (1-6) lasted 4.1 innings, allowing four runs on four hits and four walks while fanning two Tigers in Monday's no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Hammel worked his way around a bit of trouble as he held the Tigers scoreless through the first four frames. However, the righty couldn't avoid trouble in the fifth when he was tattooed with four runs, raising his ERA to 6.18 and leaving Hammel without a win for a fourth consecutive start. The 34-year-old will turn the calendar and make his next start Sunday against Cleveland.

Hammel (1-6) gave up three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings in Wednesday's 3-0 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Facing the Bronx Bombers for the second straight outing, the veteran right-hander put together a much better effort but got out-dueled by Luis Severino. The seven strikeouts were a season high for Hammel and the quality start was his third of 2017, giving him a flicker of momentum heading into Monday's home start against the Tigers.

Hammel (1-5) gave up five runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings in Tuesday's 7-1 loss to the Yankees. He failed to strike out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
Both Gary Sanchez and Chris Carter took him deep as Hammel was charged with at least five runs for the third time in his last four starts. His 6.20 ERA on the season has been partially the result of bad luck, as both his .365 BABIP and 66.2 percent strand rate are due for some positive regression, but there's no hiding his 3.8 BB/9 (Hammel's worst since he became a full-time starter in 2009) or 1.3 HR/9. He'll make his next trip to the mound Sunday on the road against the Twins.

Hammel (1-4) was tagged for seven runs (six earned) on 13 hits and a walk over seven innings in Wednesday's 12-1 loss to the Rays. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander took one for the team and helped save some wear and tear on the bullpen, as Tampa scored runs against him in four different innings. Hammel will take a 5.97 ERA and 1.76 WHIP into his next start Tuesday at home against the Yankees.
