Jake Westbrook gave up six runs on 10 hits over four innings in his start Sunday against the Athletics. Westbrook labored through four innings before the Cardinals pulled him from the game at 83 pitches. Despite the poor outing, he still has a 2.95 ERA and 1.46 WHIP this season. Westbrook's next start will come Saturday vs. the Marlins.

Jake Westbrook yielded four earned runs over six innings Tuesday but the Cardinals beat the Astros. Westbrook was actually pretty dominant in the early going, even carrying a no-hitter into the bottom of the sixth inning. He will lug a 4-2 record, 2.21 ERA and 1.35 WHIP into his next outing against the Angels in Anaheim.

Jake Westbrook held the Cubs to one (unearned) run over seven innings Wednesday in a Cardinals victory. It was his second start back from the disabled list and he looked sharp, yielding just two hits while inducing 15 groundball outs. Westbrook has hardly been dominant this season, but he's used his craftiness to work out of jams and currently boasts a 1.76 ERA in 51 total innings. He'll be a decent fantasy option next week in Houston.

In his return from the disabled list, Jake Westbrook yielded five runs -- three earned -- over five innings Friday against the Marlins. Westbrook wasn't all that effective, giving up eight hits and one walk while failing to record a strikeout. He also hit a batter. The veteran right-hander is apparently over his recent elbow woes, but he shouldn't be owned in most mixed fantasy leagues.

Cardinals activated RHP Jake Westbrook from the 15-day disabled list. Westbrook will return to make the start Friday night against the Marlins. The veteran right-hander has been sidelined since May 8 with right elbow inflammation, but he didn't have an issues during two rehab starts. He returns to a 1.62 ERA and 19/18 K/BB ratio in 39 innings over six starts.

Jake Westbrook (elbow) will rejoin the Cardinals' rotation on Friday in Miami. It's been the speculation, and now he's officially been named Friday's starter. Westbrook looked good in his two rehab starts and, more importantly, didn't have any issues with his elbow. He has a nice first matchup back from the DL with the light-hitting Marlins on tap. The Cards haven't said what they'll do with Tyler Lyons yet, but it's possible he could get one more start before being sent down in order to give the rotation some extra rest.

Jake Westbrook (elbow) is expected to return to the Cardinals' starting rotation this Friday. Westbrook was excellent in his second minor league rehab outing Sunday afternoon at Low-A Peoria, allowing just one run on four hits while inducing 14 groundball outs. The veteran sinkerballer has been on the disabled list since May 9 with inflammation in his right elbow. He will return to a shiny 1.62 ERA and has an easy matchup against the light-hitting Marlins in his first start back.

Jake Westbrook (elbow) is expected to make two rehab starts. He will throw 60 pitches in his first rehab outing with Double-A Springfield on Tuesday. Out since May 9 with inflammation and a buildup of scar tissue in his right elbow, Westbrook will likely take Tyler Lyons' spot in the rotation once he's ready.

Jake Westbrook (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Springfield. Westbrook was cleared after making it through two bullpen sessions earlier this week. It's not clear how many starts he'll make in the minors. Westbrook is likely 2-3 weeks from returning to the Cardinals.
