Happ (4-3) allowed two runs on six hits while striking out seven over six innings as he earned the win over Cleveland on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Happ earned his first win since May 29 and had his first quality since April 28. The 38-year-old southpaw allowed a leadoff homer to Rene Rivera in the third and another run on a base hit in the sixth but struck out the final two batters he faced. His seven punchouts were the most since he had 10 May 23. He still owns an ugly 5.83 ERA and has a 55:23 K:BB over 71 innings but lines up for an enticing matchup against the Royals later in the week.

Happ didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 7-5 extra-innings win over the Reds after allowing three runs on five hits and five walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty needed 108 pitches (60 strikes) to record 14 outs, and Happ's line could have been worse if Luke Farrell hadn't gotten Eugenio Suarez to fly out with two men on to close out the fifth inning. Happ hasn't lasted longer than five innings in any of his last five trips to the mound, posting a 7.23 ERA, 1.82 WHIP, 18:9 K:BB and ghastly 3.4 HR/9 over 23.2 innings during that stretch.

Happ (3-3) allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits and a walk to go along with five strikeouts over four innings as he took the loss to the Mariners on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Happ gave up at least a run in three of the four innings he pitched. Things went south fast after he gave up a solo home run to J.P. Crawford to lead off the first. He then loaded the bases in the second after allowing the first three men to reach before Sammy Long found the gap in right center for a bases-clearing triple. Two more runs came around to score before Happ's day was all said and done. He has really lost his groove after an excellent start to the season with a 9.84 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB over his last seven starts. His next chance to take the mound is expected to come at the beginning of next week at home against the Reds.

Happ gave up four runs on eight hits and a walk while fanning two across five innings Thursday against the Yankees. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Happ got off to a rough start and gave up three runs during the first innings, but he settled afterward -- even if he ended the outing allowing multiple homers for the second straight appearance. The veteran has given up at least one homer in five of his last six contests and has also allowed four or more runs five times during that stretch, so he's been struggling on the mound since mid-May. Happ's next start is scheduled for next week against the Mariners on the road.

Happ allowed five earned runs on nine hits while striking out two across five innings in the loss to the Royals on Thursday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Happ's struggles with the long ball continue as he surrendered three bombs Thursday. Salvador Perez took him deep twice and Hunter Dozier added one of his own. Lucky for Happ, all three home runs were solo shots. The 38-year-old has a 5.61 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 51.1 innings. In addition, he is not a high-strikeout candidate, as he has a 6.5 K/9. On a good note, he didn't walk anyone for the first time this season.

Happ (3-2) earned the win Saturday against the Royals after allowing two runs on three hits with five strikeouts and two walks over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran lefty served up a two-run homer to Salvador Perez during the third inning but otherwise kept Kansas City off the board. Happ has a 5.24 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 35:16 K:BB across 46.1 innings this season.

Happ didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Cleveland after giving up four runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out 10 across six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Happ bounced back from a couple of ugly outings and fanned a season-high 10, a figure that came a bit out of nowhere since his previous season-high mark for strikeouts was just four. That said, Happ has struggled badly of late and owns a 9.82 ERA in four appearances this month.

Happ (2-2) took the loss in Monday's 16-4 rout at the hands of the White Sox, surrendering six runs on seven hits and three walks over 3.2 innings while striking out only one.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander had a 1.91 ERA through his first five starts of the season, but in two straight outings against the White Sox, Happ has been tagged for 15 runs in only seven innings, ballooning his ERA to 5.35. His 20:13 K:BB through 35.1 frames isn't encouraging either, but Happ will try to turn things around in his next start, likely to come this weekend in Cleveland.

Happ (2-1) allowed nine earned runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three across 3.1 innings, taking the loss to the White Sox on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Happ could never get comfortable Wednesday, as the third inning was the only frame he kept the White Sox off the board. He gave up just one home run to Andrew Vaughn, but the White Sox constantly put pressure on the 38-year-old pitcher. Before this start, Happ had a 1.91 ERA and a 0.85 WHIP in 28.1 innings. After Wednesday, his ERA rose up to 4.26. Happ doesn't provide many strikeouts, with just a 5.4 K/9.

Happ didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Rangers. He tossed 5.1 innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits and a walk while fanning three.
EDGE Analysis
Happ has failed to complete six innings in three of his five starts this season, but he's managed to limit the damage so far. The veteran left-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in each of his five outings and will look to keep things going in his next start, scheduled for next week on the road against the White Sox.
