Krol has elected free agency following his assignment to Triple-A Salt Lake.
EDGE Analysis
Krol was designated for assignment this week despite holding a 1.71 ERA over 21 innings of relief with Salt Lake this season. He's decided to test the free agent market and will look to latch on with another club.

Krol cleared waivers and will report to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Krol, who was designated for assignment earlier in the week, will serve as organizational pitching depth with the Bees after passing through waivers untouched. The left-hander owns a solid 1.71 ERA across 21 innings of relief with Salt Lake this season.

Krol was designated for assignment by the Angels on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Krol pitched a pair of scoreless innings during his 2018 big-league debut Sunday, but the Angels opted to drop him from their 40-man roster to clear room for a fresh bullpen arm in Akeel Morris. The 27-year-old owns a 1.71 ERA across 21 innings with Triple-A Salt Lake this season and could draw some interest on waivers given his past major-league experience.

Krol was promoted to the majors Saturday, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
In parts of five big-league seasons with the Nationals, Tigers and Braves, the lefty has a 4.55 ERA. He'll fill a low-leverage role in the Angels' bullpen. Eduardo Paredes was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move.

Krol signed a minor-league contract with the Angels which includes an invitation to spring training, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Krol spent the 2017 season with the Braves, struggling to a 5.33 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 44:21 K:BB across 49 innings of relief before being cut loose in October. Still, the 26-year-old southpaw has proven he can be an effective reliever -- evidenced by his 3.18 ERA across 51 innings in 2016 -- so he'll get a chance to break camp with the Angels in a low-to-mid-leverage relief role.

Krol chose to become a free agent after being outrighted from the Braves 40-man roster Wednesday, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Krol threw 49 innings over 51 games for the Braves this season. In that time he posted a lofty 5.33 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. Coming off a 2016 campaign in which he built a 3.18 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 51 frames (63 games) his latest showing was certainly a disappointment. At 26 years old, it's not out of the question for Krol to get back on track. However, he'd likely be used in low leverage situations if a club opts to sign him.

Krol (oblique) was activated from the 10-day DL on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Although Krol has been at full health for the past few days, the club chose to wait until September to reinstate the southpaw since there wouldn't be any need for a corresponding roster move. He's been out for almost a month with a strained left oblique, but was able to get four rehab appearances in over the past couple weeks, and should be available out of Atlanta's bullpen moving forward.

Krol (oblique) is expected to be activated from the disabled list Sept. 1, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves will wait to activate Krol from the DL until rosters expand at the beginning of September so that they can avoid making a corresponding roster move. Upon his eventual activation, Krol figures to carry little fantasy value as he won't see many high-leverage situations and currently owns a 5.75 ERA and 1.52 WHIP

Krol landed on the 10-day DL with a strained left oblique prior to Friday's game.
EDGE Analysis
Krol has been in the midst of a rough season, accumulating a 5.75 ERA and 1.52 WHIP over the course of 40.2 relief innings. His latest appearance came against the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one earned run off one hit and a pair of walks during two innings. There has yet to be word on any sort of timetable for Krol's return, but he could miss an extended period of time depending on the severity.

Krol is on pace to have the worst ERA of his career, currently carrying a 6.03 mark.
EDGE Analysis
His previous career worse came in 2015 with Detroit when he posted an ERA of 5.79 in 28 big league innings. While that isn't a large sample size, he has already pitched 37.1 innings this season and looks to be resembling the pitcher we saw back then and not the reliever who posted an ERA of 3.18 in 51 innings last season.
