Gattis went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 7-3 win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis has seven homers and 18 RBI over the last 16 games. He was in danger of losing his role as the primary designated hitter when he had one home run and was hitting .196 through 40 games, but Gattis has turned it around since then and has his batting average up to .236.

Gattis is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis has responded after a poor start to the season, slashing .281/.342/.609 with six home runs in 64 at-bats in May, after hitting only one home run in the first month-plus of the season. Jose Altuve will serve as the Astros' designated hitter Thursday with Marwin Gonzalez taking over at second base.

Gattis went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
The homer was Gattis' third in the last three games and sixth during the month of May. He began the season terribly, but is swinging the bat much better of late. He sports a 1.085 OPS with nine extra-base hits, including six homers, and 16 RBI over his last 63 plate appearances (17 games). It should be noted that Gattis will not get any additional catching opportunities with Brian McCann (knee) on the disabled list, something manager A.J. Hinch confirmed with Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. "He's swinging the bat well as our DH," Hinch said. "We do have some strength by adding or having that third catcher, it allows me to make moves in a game more so than I need to worry about starting him or putting him in the rotation behind the plate. I'm aware that he's done it before and he can do it, but it's not a high priority right now." Without having to cloud Gattis with pitcher preparation and game-calling, he can continue to focus on the hot bat he's swinging.

Gattis went 2-for-6 with two home runs, two runs scored and four RBI Sunday in the loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis gave Houston a five-run lead after belting a three-run homer in the eighth inning, but the Indians would respond to send the game to extras -- he would homer again in the 13th. Following Sunday's performance, Gattis is hitting .230 with six home runs and 21 RBI through 44 games. He'll look to keep up his recent power surge in Monday's series opener against the Yankees.

Gattis is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis will head to the bench for Thursday's series opener while Yulieski Gurriel slides to DH and Marwin Gonzalez picks up a start at first base. While the veteran has recently picked it up at the dish, he's still hitting a lackluster .213/.276/.369 with four homers through 42 games this season.

Gattis is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Yulieski Gurriel will serve as the designated hitter as Marwin Gonzalez takes over at first base. Gattis has picked it up some at the dish in recent weeks, collecting eight hits (including three homers) in his last 29 at-bats. He will need to keep it going -- Gattis hasn't started a game behind the plate all season and can't afford to fall into another long slump with DH being his only avenue to steady at-bats.

Gattis is not in Friday's lineup against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis will occupy a seat on the pine after going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI against the Angels during Wednesday's victory. In his absence, Yulieski Gurriel will DH and Marwin Gonzalez will get a start at first base.

Gattis went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Gattis was the source of all offense for the Astros and that was enough for Justin Verlander, who went the distance for the shutout win. The 31-year-old Gattis' batting average (.212) still hurts, but he's hit safely in seven of the last eight games while homering three times with six RBI during that stretch.

Gattis went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-1 win over Texas.
EDGE Analysis
On cue, after manager A.J. Hinch threatened Gattis' playing time early last week because of limited production, the designated hitter has hit in five straight games, including home runs in the last two. He's showing signs of breaking out of a season-long slump, so Hinch may keep getting Gattis regular at-bats this week.

Gattis went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 601 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The homer was just his second of the year, while the steal was his first since 2016. Gattis' season-long slump has him in danger of losing playing time given all the DH options available to manager A.J. Hinch, but his bat is showing tentative signs of waking up -- he's gone 5-for-14 over his last four games.
