Price didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Pirates after allowing two runs on three hits and a walk across 4.2 innings, fanning three.
EDGE Analysis
Price couldn't even complete five innings in this one, and that has been the case in four of his last five outings. The veteran left-hander has only made 10 starts out of 31 appearances, and while he owns a 3.62 ERA on the season, he has struggled to pitch deep into games since moving back to the rotation. At least he's avoiding the damage, though, as he has given up two or fewer runs in each of his last four trips to the mound.

Price didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Phillies, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
A 57-minute rain delay after the second inning likely helped contribute to Price's early exit, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts didn't show a lot of faith in the lefty by pulling him after 51 pitches (36 strikes) with a 3-2 lead. Price has yet to last six innings since moving primarily into a starting role and hasn't picked up a win since July 4, but including that outing he has a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB through his last 29.1 innings -- numbers good enough to keep him in the rotation.

Price pitched 5.1 innings against the Angels on Friday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out four. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander's previous appearance was out of the bullpen Sunday, but he was back in the rotation for Friday's series-opening tilt. Price got through four scoreless frames before Jose Iglesias slugged a solo home run off him in the fifth inning, and the veteran hurler departed after surrendering another solo shot -- this time to Jack Mayfield -- in the sixth. The 5.1 innings Price completed were his second most of the campaign, and he needed only 62 pitches to reach that mark. He has posted a 3.53 ERA and 1.37 WHIP across 29 appearances, including eight starts, this season.

Price struck out one batter in a perfect relief inning Sunday versus Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran hurler had worked as a starter in each of his previous four appearances, compiling a 3.71 ERA and 1.18 WHIP across 17 innings. His relief appearance Sunday doesn't necessarily indicate a permanent return to the bullpen -- the Dodgers may simply have been taking advantage of a light schedule that has them playing only five times over the next eight days. That said, the recent acquisition of Max Scherzer and looming return of Clayton Kershaw (forearm) could eventually lead to Price's return to a relief role.

Price (4-1) took the loss Thursday against the Giants after surrendering four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two across 4.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
After walking the bases loaded in the first inning, Price managed to limit the damage to a two-run double by Brandon Crawford before escaping. While he was able to keep the ball in the park, his shaky command in the first inning came back to haunt him while a lack of run support from his teammates strapped him with his first loss of the season. In the process of being stretched out to slot into a full-time starting role, the southpaw was coming off his longest outing of the season (5.2 innings) but labored with a 64-pitch workload this time around. Price will carry a 3.63 ERA and 1.48 WHIP into his next projected start Wednesday against Houston.

Price allowed three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four over 5.2 innings Friday against the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Price easily had his longest outing of the season as he continues to push toward a full-time starter's workload. Elias Diaz took him yard in the third inning and then Trevor Story hit a long ball in the sixth. Price walked Charlie Blackmon as his last hitter of the day and would eventually be charged with a third run after Blackmon scored before the inning concluded. The 35-year-old lefty owns a 3.35 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 39:11 K:BB over 40.1 innings and is set up to face the Giants on the road next week.

Price stated Sunday that his pitch count will rise in his next start and that he is working toward a full-time starter role without limitations, Michael J. Duarte of NBC LA reports.
EDGE Analysis
After working out of the bullpen most of the season, Price has been thrust into a starter role due to the absences of Dustin May (elbow), Clayton Kershaw (forearm) and Trevor Bauer (not injury related). May is out for the season, Kershaw is unlikely to return until August and Bauer's status is fully up in the air, making Price a valuable asset in a suddenly thin rotation. The veteran southpaw threw a season-high 66 pitches in his start Sunday, and he figures to work his way up from there before going off a pitch limit entirely. The 2012 AL Cy Young Award winner is likely past the peak of his pitching ability, but he could still be a viable fantasy target for managers in need of a backend starter.

Price allowed one run on two hits and one walk in four innings of a no-decision Sunday against Colorado. He had four strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Price threw a season-high 66 pitches, 42 of them for strikes, with the only damage coming on Charlie Blackmon's RBI single in the first inning. The Dodgers continue to build Price up to a more traditional starter's workload, while so far he's limited opponents to just six hits in seven innings over his two starts since stepping into the rotation, fanning seven against a pair of walks. Price tentatively lines up to face the same Rockies again next week, this time at Dodger Stadium.

Price started Friday's 5-2 loss to Arizona, going three innings and allowing four hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Price was able to escape a bases-loaded jam in the first and allowed a single runner in the second and third before being removed following the third inning. His 51 pitches represented a season high as Los Angeles looks to extend Price as a result of Trevor Bauer's potential extended absence.

Price will be the starting pitcher for Friday's game against Arizona, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price was tabbed as the likely Friday starter earlier in the week and now he's officially been penciled in on the lineup card. With Trevor Bauer (not injury related) and Clayton Kershaw (forearm) currently out, Price is expected to begin getting stretched out to be able to throw starter innings. The Dodgers will be looking to get around three innings out of the veteran southpaw, so he likely won't be able to qualify for a win. Per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, manager Dave Roberts said Friday that it is a "fair assumption" to say that Price will remain in the rotation for the foreseeable future.
