Price started Thursday's 3-2 win over Arizona, tossing two innings and permitting three hits with one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Starting his first game since 2019, Price was expected to headline a bullpen effort and did so admirably by permitting zero runs. Given the success, it's logical for skipper Dave Roberts to extend the lefty's leash as he attempts regain a contributing role in Los Angeles' stacked rotation. After allowing five runs in his first two outings, Price has only allowed one run in his last nine innings.

Price is slated to start Thursday against the Diamondbacks in what's expected to be a bullpen game for the Dodgers, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Given that Price tossed an inning of relief Tuesday and hasn't recorded more than six outs in any of his eight appearances on the season, Toribio suspects that the lefty will be capped at around one or two frames in his first start as a member of the Dodgers. Meanwhile, Edwin Uceta, who covered three innings out of the bullpen Sunday against the Marlins, looks like the top candidate to work as a bulk reliever, if the Dodgers decide to go that route. Los Angeles will require a fifth starter again May 29 against the Giants, so it's possible Price could be tasked with working longer in that game if he fares well in the opener role Thursday.

Price fired a perfect inning during which he struck out one batter against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday and made his return to the mound Tuesday. He breezed through a seven-pitch eighth inning after the Dodgers opened up a big lead in the bottom of the previous frame. Price is likely to continue to be used out of the bullpen for the time being despite the team's need for a fifth starter. He has pitched to a 5.06 ERA and 1.69 WHIP across 10.2 innings this season.

Price (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against Arizona, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price will be available out of the bullpen Monday after missing time with a Grade 2 hamstring strain. He's surrendered six runs on 14 hits and four walks while fanning 11 over his first 9.2 innings of the 2021 campaign. The Dodgers have yet to announce a corresponding move.

Manager Dave Roberts expects Price (hamstring) to be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old threw nearly 30 pitches over two simulated innings Friday and will rejoin the Dodgers without a minor-league rehab assignment. Price could factor into the rotation with Dustin May (elbow) out for the season, though the veteran lefty could work out of the bullpen since he's not fully stretched out.

Price (hamstring) will either toss another live bullpen session or be activated rather than take part in a rehab assignment, Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price tossed nearly 30 pitches in two simulated innings Friday and will now take at least two days off from throwing. After that rest, he could return to the active roster at the start of next week, though it has yet to be determined if the left-hander will need another bullpen session first. Price indicated Friday that his hamstring "feels completely normal," per Castillo.

Price (hamstring) threw a simulated game Tuesday at Dodger Stadium, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty threw about an inning and also tested the injured hamstring by covering first base. Dustin May's season-ending elbow surgery leaves an open rotation spot that Price could possibly fill if he can get stretched out in the coming weeks.

Price (hamstring) threw a bullpen session Friday and continues to build up toward a return, Matthew Moreno of Dodger Blue reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price has now tossed multiple bullpens in the past week and appears to be progressing steadily. "The velocities are good, he's responding well, so just continuing to build him up and make sure that hamstring stays strong," manager Dave Roberts said of Price. Roberts also noted that the left-hander's return is "going to be sooner than later," though a specific timetable has yet to be announced. When Price returns, he's likely to pitch out of the bullpen, though he could also be considered for a rotation spot given the season-ending injury recently suffered by Dustin May (elbow).

Price (hamstring) has begun to throw off a mound, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty was placed on the injured list in late April and was expected to miss several weeks. Throwing off a mound is a promising sign for his return in the near future. Price pitched well before the injury, allowing one run in his last six innings after two bad appearances to start the season. Once healthy, Price may start games, with Dustin May (elbow) out for the season and Tony Gonsolin (shoulder) still at least three weeks from being available.

Price (hamstring) is expected to miss 'several weeks' with the injury that landed him on the IL on Monday, Sarah Wexler of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The status of Price and Tony Gonsolin takes on a little more urgency following Dustin May's injury Saturday, but it doesn't appear that Price will be able to step in anytime soon. The Dodgers instead may turn to Mitchell White to replace May in the rotation for the short term, though the Dodgers might not need a fifth starter for a while.
