Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Price (illness) will head to the Dodgers' spring training facility in Arizona this week to build up his arm, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price has been away from the team since testing positive for COVID-19 on April 24, and he'll need some time to ramp back up before rejoining the active roster. It's unclear if the 36-year-old will require a minor-league rehab assignment, but he could be back within 7-to-10 days.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Price (COVID-19) does not yet have a clear timeframe for a return, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price was placed on the COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus Sunday, and it remains uncertain when he'll be ready to play again. Per MLB rules, Price can return 10 days after the positive result or by testing negative on two PCR tests as long as he is not showing symptoms and receives approval from the league's joint medical committee.

Price tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price is vaccinated, but he reported feeling symptoms Sunday morning and will have to isolate from the team after being placed on the COVID-19 injured list. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to action.

Price (undisclosed) was placed on the injured list by the Dodgers on Sunday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price last pitched Friday against the Padres and delivered a scoreless inning, and he's now unavailable for unspecified reasons shortly before first pitch Sunday. It's unclear how long the veteran left-hander will be sidelined, and it's possible his absence is related to COVID-19.

Price didn't throw off a mound prior to the start of spring camp and experienced some elbow pain after throwing his first live batting practice session, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price didn't seem at all concerned about the early elbow pain, which he indicated he gets every year after beginning to throw. However, this gives some perspective about why the veteran southpaw hasn't built up enough to begin the season as a starter after the team previously suggested he was in contention for a rotation spot. Price stated that he feels good now, and he was effective in his spring debut Wednesday, striking out two in a scoreless inning. Per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, the team is still deciding whether Price will be used as a multi-inning option or as a single-inning pitcher this season.

Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Price is unlikely to begin the season as a starter since he isn't yet built up, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Roberts said early in camp that Price was "in the mix" for a rotation spot, but the southpaw apparently hasn't been able to build up his pitch count quickly enough to begin the year as a starter. Instead, Tony Gonsolin is the leading candidate for the fifth rotation spot, while Andrew Heaney will likely start during the team's first turn through the rotation. Once he's built up, Price could still contend for a starting job, but he appears more likely to serve as a swingman after he posted a 4.03 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 73.2 innings across 39 appearances (11 starts) in 2021.

According to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Price "is in the mix" for a rotation spot, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price started 11 games and came out of the bullpen on 28 occasions for the Dodgers last season. He has been a starter for the vast majority of his big-league career, however, and it appears he could be used in that role more frequently in 2022. Los Angeles has Walker Buehler, Clayton Kershaw and Julio Urias locked into the top three spots in the rotation, with newly acquired Andrew Heaney favored to fill the fourth slot. However, with question marks surrounding the fate of Trevor Bauer (personal) and Dustin May (elbow) expected to miss most of the campaign, the fifth starting spot may be a competition between Tony Gonsolin, Mitch White and Price. Gonsolin would seem to have a leg up if that battle comes to pass -- he started 13 of 15 regular-season appearances in 2021 and notched a 3.23 ERA across 55.2 frames -- but a strong spring by Price could feasibly catapult him into a rotation spot.

Price was added to the Dodgers' roster for the NLCS on Friday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Joe Kelly will be sidelined for the rest of the season with a biceps injury, and Price will take his place on the NLCS roster. The veteran left-hander posted a 4.03 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 58:26 K:BB across 73.2 innings (39 appearances) for the Dodgers this season.

Price is a top candidate to join the Dodgers' NLCS roster to replace Joe Kelly (biceps), Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Price was left off the original NLCS roster and has yet to pitch this postseason. However, Kelly was lost for the remainder of the season after suffering an arm injury Thursday, opening a spot in the team's bullpen. Manager Dave Roberts noted that Price was one of a few names being considered, but that no final decision had been made.

Price isn't on the roster for the NLCS against Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Price didn't appear in the NL Wild Card Game or NLDS, and he'll be unavailable for the best-of-seven series against Atlanta. If the Dodgers advance to the World Series, the southpaw will be in the mix to serve as a relief option.
