Phelps (elbow) was activated from the 10-day DL prior to Wednesday's game against the Braves, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Phelps has been on the disabled list since Aug. 8 while recovering from right elbow impingement. The 30-year-old was able to complete a simulated game Monday, and appears to be at full health upon his reinstatement. Phelps figures to slide right back into his role as the top setup man in the Seattle bullpen moving forward. In a corresponding move, the team designated Leonys Martin for assignment.

Phelps (elbow) said his simulated game went great and he is expected to be activated by the end of the week, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
After clearing the final hurdle of his rehab assignment by throwing a successful simulated game, the Mariners can now expect one of their top relievers to return to the bullpen either Wednesday against Atlanta or Friday against the Yankees. Since being traded to the Mariners, Phelps has 11 strikeouts in 7.0 innings and will move back into his role as the top setup man in their relief corps.

Phelps (elbow) will throw a simulated game in Atlanta, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
It could be the last step in Phelps' rehab back to the bullpen, as a stint in the minors isn't expected to be necessary from the impingement that put him on the disabled list August 8. If all goes well in the simulated game, fantasy owners should expect to see Phelps activated sometime within the next couple days, possibly in time for Seattle's series opener in Atlanta on Monday.

Phelps (elbow) will throw a bullpen session at Tropicana Field on Friday and will follow up with a simulated game if all goes well, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The hard-throwing right-hander appears poised to make significant progress towards a return with the activity planned for him over the next few days. If Phelps progresses through both the bullpen and simulated game setback-free, he's expected to be activated approximately halfway through the Mariners' 12-game road trip that begins Friday.

Phelps (elbow) will throw off a mound when the Mariners arrive in Tampa for this weekend's series, Bob Dutton of The News Tribune reports. "Probably when we get to Tampa (this weekend)," manager Scott Servais said, "he'll throw off the mound there. If that goes well, you'll see him activated pretty quickly."
EDGE Analysis
Phelps has been on an accelerated recovery curve since coming down with elbow impingement on Aug. 6. The right-hander apparently doesn't have much more to prove before being deemed ready for a return, as it appears he might need just one satisfactory throwing session before being activated.

Phelps (elbow) could be activated from the 10-day disabled list in time for the Mariners' series with the Rays that begins Friday,Bob Dutton of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 30-year-old was projected to miss 2-to-3 weeks after landing on the disabled list Aug. 8 with a right elbow impingement, but after playing catch for the third consecutive day Sunday, Phelps looks bound to meet the lower end of that timetable. He's expected to resume throwing off a mound in the next couple of days, and if all goes well, Phelps would progress to a simulated game later in the week and bypass a rehab assignment in the minors. Phelps should step back in as one of the top setup men to closer Edwin Diaz once he returns from the DL.

Phelps was placed on the disabled list with an impingement in his right elbow and is expected to miss two-to-three weeks.
EDGE Analysis
Phelps exited Sunday's game against the Royals with soreness in his throwing elbow, and further evaluations conducted Monday revealed the issue was serious enough to warrant a trip to the disabled list. It's a tough break for Phelps and the Mariners, but the new bullpen arm should be back in action before September rolls around. Yonder Alonso was added to the roster in a corresponding move, while Tony Zych and Nick Vincent will serve as Seattle's main setup options for the time being.

Phelps (elbow) will leave the team and head back to Seattle to have his elbow evaluated by team doctors Monday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Phelps departed Sunday's game against Kansas City with soreness in his throwing elbow. He commented that it hasn't felt normal for a few days and had trouble staying loose on the mound, but added that he didn't feel anything pop -- which is a good sign for the Mariners' shiny new bullpen addition. The M's have an off-day Monday, then head to Oakland for a brief two-game set before heading home to face the Angels on Thursday, so look for further information on Phelps to surface prior to the series opener at Safeco Field later in the week.

Phelps exited Sunday's game against the Royals with right elbow discomfort.
EDGE Analysis
Phelps left Sunday's game after tossing just seven pitches. The initial diagnosis of an elbow injury is obviously very concerning, but we'll have to wait for more specifics after Phelps undergoes testing in the coming days. He'll be a day-to-day case for the time being.
