Fortunately, manager Kevin Cash said the lefty is available to play and the Rays are simply exercising caution in holding him out of regular action. With an off day scheduled for Thursday, it's probable to expect Rasmus back in the lineup this weekend against Baltimore. Peter Bourjos could see extended playing time in his absence.
