Buchholz didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Angels, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over five innings while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander continues to give the Jays a handful of unremarkable innings each time he takes the mound. Buchholz will carry a 4.79 ERA and 11:5 K:BB through 20.2 frames into his next start Sunday, on the road against the Rangers.

Buchholz (0-1) allowed four earned runs on six hits and no walks while striking out two across five innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Buchholz didn't allow a baserunner through his first three innings of work , but allowed an earned run in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to sour his start. He lived in the strike zone a lot -- 52 of his 70 pitches were strikes -- which may have made him too predictable as the order turned over for a second time. Still, through three starts, Buchholz has maintained average results by posting a 4.60 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across 15 innings, though he's racked up just eight strikeouts in that span.

Buchholz allowed three runs on six hits with four strikeouts and three walks across 4.2 innings in a no-decision against the Twins on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
He wasn't quite as sharp as he was in his first start. Not that it was horrible, but Buchholz did walk three batters and failed to make it out of the fifth. Right now, keeping his walks down is imperative to his success, as early this season, hitters are batting .286 against Buchholz. Overall, he hasn't earned a decision and owns a 3.38 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and six strikeouts in 10.2 innings. His next scheduled start is home against the Giants on Wednesday.

Buchholz allowed one run on six hits with two strikeouts and no walks across six innings in a no-decision against the Rays on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It was a strong Blue Jays debut for Buchholz, who was just activated from the injured list. He threw 69 pitches, 45 of which were strikes. Buchholz is one of the most unpredictable pitchers in the league, so while this is certainly encouraging, it's probably too early to say he's in line for the same decent numbers as last season.

Buchholz (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list as expected Saturday ahead of his season debut against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Buchholz signed late in February and needed a minor-league tuneup start before being ready to go. He impressed with a 2.01 ERA in 16 starts for the Diamondbacks last season but has been generally unpredictable over the course of his career. Over the last seven seasons, he has four years with an ERA of 4.56 or higher and three with an ERA of 3.26 or lower.

Buchholz (elbow) will return from the injured list to start Saturday against the Rays, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buchholz had a delayed start to spring after signing in late February, so he opened the season on the injured list while ostensibly recovering from the elbow strain which ended his 2018 campaign in mid-September. He was knocked around in his last rehab start but has nevertheless been deemed good to go.

Buchholz (elbow) gave up five runs (three earned) on four hits -- all of them home runs -- over five innings while striking out five in Sunday's rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo.
EDGE Analysis
The closest thing to a big name among the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre hitters who took the veteran right-hander deep was Ryan Lavarnway, who has a .326 SLG in 390 career big-league at-bats. This wasn't exactly the kind of performance Buchholz was hoping for, but he got stretched out to 70 pitches (48 strikes) and appears close to joining the Toronto rotation. If the organization decides he needs one more rehab start, he'd be on target for a 2019 debut some time during the Jays' seven-game road trip which begins April 15.

Buchholz (elbow) will throw 75 pitches Sunday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buchholz threw 60 pitches earlier in the week and apparently felt good, clearing the way for him to ramp up his pitch count in his next session. If everything goes off without a hitch Sunday, Buchholz could be on track to make his 2019 debut sometime during the team's series against the Rays, which begins April 12.

Buchholz (elbow) will throw 60 pitches Tuesday and then 75 in his next session, which may take the form of a rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buchholz remains behind schedule after signing with the Blue Jays late in camp. He's being built up cautiously after his 2018 campaign ended in mid-September due to an elbow strain. If his next two outings proceed as planned, he could be on target to appear at some point during the Blue Jays' series against the Rays, which begins April 12.

The Blue Jays placed Buchholz (elbow) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Buchholz signed with the Blue Jays shortly after camp began and wasn't able to build up his arm in time to make any starts during the Grapefruit League slate, so he'll remain at extended spring training to begin the campaign. The right-hander upped his pitch count to 45 while facing minor-league hitters Wednesday and will likely need to push to 75 pitches before Toronto is ready to bring him back in a starting role. Assuming he hits no snags in his recovery from the right flexor strain, Buchholz could be an option for the rotation by mid-April.
