Young allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven over six innings, but received no decision Sunday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Young's solid effort kept the Royals close in a pitcher's duel before the team was able to pull out a win in 13 innings. He now has two quality starts on the season, and his ERA is at 5.61. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Astros.

Young will make his next start Tuesday instead of Saturday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Royals are choosing to pitch Danny Duffy on Friday and push Young's start to Tuesday. The veteran righty has been coughed up 10 earned runs over his last 11.1 innings so the Royals might just be making sure his arm is as fresh as possible before he makes his next start.

Young (2-6) lasted 4.2 innings Sunday, giving up five runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five in a loss to the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Four of the hits went over the fence, spiking Young's ERA to 6.37 and his HR/9 to an unfathomable 3.7. He's allowed multiple homers in each of his last four starts, and the Royals might have no choice but to return him to the bullpen if he keeps serving up gopher balls. For the moment, though, his next start is scheduled for Saturday on the road against the White Sox.

Young (forearm) has been activated from the DL, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran had been battling tightness in his throwing forearm, but he threw a successful sim game earlier in the week, clearing the final hurdle in his rehab. Young won't return to the Royals' rotation right away; instead, he'll assume a bullpen role, with Danny Duffy appearing to be locked into a rotation spot. In a corresponding move, Brian Flynn was optioned back to Triple-A Omaha to clear a roster spot.

Young (forearm) will pitch out of the bullpen once he is activated off the DL, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander has been progressing well since being placed on the disabled list due to forearm tightness earlier in May. He reportedly looked in control during his simulated game Friday and he could be activated at some point over the weekend. However, his spot in the Royals' rotation won't be waiting for him when he returns as Danny Duffy appears to have locked down a starting role. Young's experience as a starter will give him some value as a long reliever, but he possesses very little fantasy upside at this point in his career.

Young threw a 20-pitch sim game and looked solid according to manager Ned Yost, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young could be activated this weekend as he nears the end of his forearm rehab. The 37-year-old has a 6.68 ERA and 1.52 WHIP in seven starts this season and will look to dramatically improve those numbers upon his return.

Young will throw a simulated game later in the week, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran pitcher is getting closer and closer to a return to the mound after throwing a 35-pitch bullpen Tuesday. He will likely throw a sim game either Thursday or Friday, but the team hasn't announced how many innings he'll go in that outing. Provided the sim game or sim games go well, a rehab assignment could be on the horizon for Young.

Young (forearm) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, Joel Goldberg of Fox Sports Kansas City reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander was shelled to the tune of five runs, all on home runs, in his abbreviated outing Monday. Following the game, Young was diagnosed with a forearm strain, which ultimately landed him on the disabled list. The Royals also placed Kris Medlen (shoulder) on the DL on Thursday and recalled Scott Alexander and Peter Moylan in a corresponding move.

Young has been diagnosed with a muscle strain on the top of his forearm, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Ned Yost did not seem overly concerned about Young's status, but he hinted that Young will be out a week, and could be a candidate for a stint on the disabled list. Young's last start came Monday, so if he does wind up on the DL, it would be retroactive to May 10.

Young has been experiencing tightness in his forearm, Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Ned Yost swapped Young out of the starting rotation in favor of Dillon Gee earlier in the day, but this ailment could help explain some of Young's poor start. He'll be evaluated further in Kansas City on Wednesday, so more details as to the extent and exact nature of the setback should become available then.
