Parmelee will make his sixth straight start Sunday against the Indians, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports. With Parmelee continuing to thrive since his June 16 promotion (.333/.385/.750 line over 10 games), it appears he's solidified himself into an everyday role. His lack of defensive aptitude in the corner outfield has resulted in the Orioles moving Chris Davis to right field the last two games to clear a spot for Parmelee at first base, an arrangement that should continue if the latter player keeps hitting.

Parmelee is in Baltimore's lineup Wednesday, one day after making his explosive season debut with the Orioles, MASN Sports reports. Parmelee has performed well over several seasons at Triple-A, but he has not put together lasting success at the MLB level. There is a decent possibility he can work himself into a platoon to get at-bats against right-handers, but the Orioles may have roster decisions to make when Jonathan Schoop returns around the All-Star break.

Parmelee went 4-for-6 with two home runs in Tuesday's win over the Phillies. The Orioles hit eight home runs against the Phillies on Tuesday, so the ball was leaving the park with regularity in Baltimore. This was also Parmelee's first game since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, so he really made a splash. He slashed .312/.381/.444 in 234 at-bats with Norfolk, so there may be something worth following here if Parmelee continues to get a semi-regular at-bats.

Parmelee was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk before for Tuesday's game against the Phillies, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Making his first big-league appearance this season, the 27-year-old Parmelee, who owns a .312/.381/.444 slash line in 234 at-bats for Triple-A Norfolk, will start in right field and bat sixth. The transaction is a bit surprising despite Parmelee's solid minor league results, as the Orioles already have a glut of mediocre options in the outfield. The corresponding transaction has not been announced.

Parmelee will be recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, CSN Baltimore reports. Parmelee, whose minor-league contract has a June 15 opt-out date, joined the Orioles on Monday. The organization may want to keep him around, but he doesn't figure to get many at-bats with the team currently in good health. Parmelee owns a .312/.381/.441 slash line for Triple-A Norfolk this season.

Parmelee is hitting .417/.512/.694 with two home runs and four doubles in nine Triple-A games this season. Parmelee does not figure into Baltimore's plans unless there is an injury to Chris Davis. Even then, the Orioles might call up Christian Walker rather than Parmelee, as Parmelee does not have a spot on the 40-man roster. If the Orioles let Davis walk after the season, Parmelee could have a shot at making the roster in 2016.

Parmelee was reassigned to minor league camp Sunday. Parmelee entered camp a long shot to make the 25-man roster. He will indeed begin the season in the minors, and provide the Orioles with organizational depth in the outfield.

Parmelee signed a minor league contract with the Orioles on Monday, which includes an invite to spring training, CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Dubroff reports. The Orioles have as much uncertainty in the corner outfield spots and at DH as any team in the American League, so it is easy to see why they appealed to Parmelee, who declined an assignment to Triple-A with the Twins. However, if he was able to make the big league roster, it would be as a low-end bench bat, and therefore he offers very little fantasy potential.

Parmelee has declined his assignment to Triple-A and will become a free agent, the Twins announced Monday. The Twins designated Parmelee for assignment earlier this month to free up a spot on the 40-man roster, and he evidently wanted a more legitimate shot of making a team out of camp in 2015. Parmelee, who will be 27 on Opening Day, has 24 home runs and a .249 average in 901 big league plate appearances, which demonstrates how underwhelming he is on offense relative to his position (first base/corner outfield).

The Twins designated Parmelee for assignment Saturday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. A spot on the 40-man roster had to be freed up with Ervin Santana's signing becoming official, and Parmelee was the casualty. In 87 games with the big club last season, Parmelee hit .256/.307/.384 with seven homers and 28 RBI. He's hit .295/.395/.530 in parts of three seasons at the Triple-A level and it wouldn't be a surprise if another team grabbed him off waivers to compete for a bench role.
