Chris Parmelee went 2-for-4 and hit his fifth homer for the Twins in an 8-6 win over the Brewers on Thursday. Parmelee, Joe Mauer and Ryan Doumit all hit their fifth homers for the Twins tonight. With Doumit suddenly finding his stroke this week, Parmelee might be in line to lose some playing time if he can't pull off the same sort of trick. He's batting .223 with a mere 14 RBI in 139 at-bats for the season.

Chris Parmelee is 3-for-22 (.136) over his last eight games. A lone double counts as his only extra-base hit during that stretch. It's an awful time for Parmelee to scuffle, as Oswaldo Arcia has clearly passed him on the depth chart, relegating he and Ryan Doumit into a platoon. If Parmelee (.214/.301/.337) continues to hit like an injured utility player, he may find himself in the business class on a flight to Rochester soon.

Chris Parmelee had a solo homer and an RBI single in the Twins' 6-2 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday. The Twins beat Anibal Sanchez to avoid being swept in Detroit. Parmelee's homer off reliever Darin Downs was his first in 87 career at-bats against left-handers. The Twins have largely stuck with him even after promoting Oswaldo Arcia, and hopefully, he'll start rewarding their faith now. Another slump would probably get him removed from the lineup.

Chris Parmelee is not in Friday's lineup against the Mets. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire is going with Wilkin Ramirez in right field against the left-hander Jon Niese. Parmelee should be back in there Saturday against right-hander Matt Harvey.

Chris Parmelee went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles as the Twins beat the Orioles 9-5 on Tuesday. Considering that Parmelee needs all of the help he can get in right field, it's rather surprising that six of his 16 starts in the field this spring have come at first base. It makes us wonder if he'll start there more often than anticipated this year, with Ryan Doumit perhaps spending more time on the bench.

Chris Parmelee homered and walked twice in three plate appearances Thursday against the Red Sox. The homer accounted for the Twins' lone run off Ryan Dempster. Parmelee started at first base today, but he's penciled in as the Twins' primary first fielder this year. He could move to first later on if Justin Morneau gets hurt or traded.

Chris Parmelee (groin) returned to the Twins' Grapefruit League lineup on Wednesday. Parmelee hasn't played in nine days due to groin tightness, but the Twins were mostly playing things safe. He's playing right field in his first game back as opposed to being eased in as a DH, so that's a good sign that the issue is behind him.

Chris Parmelee (groin) was unable to take batting practice Friday as originally hoped. Parmelee is still feeling some lingering tightness in his groin and will be re-evaluated Sunday. He might not return to action until the middle of the week. "It's not too serious," he said, "and I don't want it to become serious."

Chris Parmelee reported improvement with his groin Friday and hopes to return to the lineup in a day or two. Parmelee, who was a late scratch from Thursday's Grapefruit League lineup, will try to go through a complete non-game workout. He projects as the Twins' starter in right field this year.

Chris Parmelee was a late scratch from Thursday's Grapefruit League lineup due to a groin injury. Eduardo Escobar will take his place as the designated hitter. The Twins are calling Parmelee's absence precautionary, so consider him day-to-day for now.
