The story with Carter continues to be his ridiculous home-road splits. Carter has now hit 12 of his 16 home runs at Miller Park as he continues to feast on Milwaukee's short fences. Daily fantasy players take note -- Carter was hitting .230/.274/.584 with 24 of his 34 RBI at home and just .211/.295/.378 on the road before Tuesday's game and only exacerbated those splits with another big game at home against the Athletics.

Carter went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two strikeouts against Philadelphia on Thursday.

EDGE Analysis

Carter has a lot of power in his bat, so he'll always have fantasy value, but he needs to make more contact to become more consistent threat. This was Carter's first homer since May 20, and it's no secret that he's been struggling at the plate of late. Carter has hit only .143 (6-for-42) over the past 10 games.

Carter tallied three home runs and nine RBI over his last eight games, but he also struck out 11 times over his last four contests, so manager Craig Counsell decided it was time for a day off. Ramon Flores will get the start at first base in Carter's place.
