Carter is not in the lineup Saturday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Carter will get the day off Saturday, as the Brewers go with Jonathan Lucroy at first base, while Martin Maldonado steps in behind the plate. Carter has struggled of late, going hitless in his last six games (20 at-bats).

Carter went 2-for-4 in Friday's 5-1 loss to the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran slugger stayed hot despite his team's overall struggles, hitting safely for the fifth time in the last six games. Carter has also seen a power explosion in recent games, blasting half of his 10 homers on the season in the first six games of May. He's slashing .283/.345/.687 on the season.

Carter went 1-for-4 with his 10th homer of the year Thursday against the reds.
EDGE Analysis
He's joined a small crowd at the top of the NL homer list, with only Colorado's Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story sitting on more long balls. Five of Carter's have come in the last five games, and he's certainly capable of hitting them in bunches. More impressively, though, he's been able to cut his strikeout rate and is hitting a more-than-respectable .274 -- a dramatic improvement that looks like it may well actually be sustainable to some degree.

Carter hit two home runs in Tuesday's win over the Angels, his eighth and ninth of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Carter is slugging a ridiculous .713 as the cozy Miller Park seems to be working quite well with his swing. Eight of Carter's nine homers have come in Milwaukee, which had the highest home run park factor in the league last year according to ESPN. Carter is now on pace for 56 home runs, and while that's probably a touch unrealistic, this start gives him a solid chance to challenge his career high of 37, set in 2014 with Houston.

Carter went 3-for-5 Sunday with a double, three runs scored, three RBI and two home runs.
EDGE Analysis
He's enjoying a big year so far with Milwaukee, hitting .278/.355/.671 with seven homers, 18 RBI and 15 runs scored. Carter's also struck out 27 times in 79 at-bats, of course, and his batting average will likely dwindle as the season progresses, but as long as he's depositing balls in the seats neither the Brewers nor anyone with fantasy shares in him will mind.

Carter went 6-for-11 (.545) with a home run, four doubles, and two RBI in the Brewers' three-game series with the Phillies over the weekend.
EDGE Analysis
Carter entered Friday's game with an .897 OPS, but he exited the weekend with a 1.050 OPS -- the sixth-best mark in the National League. He has hit in only the fourth and fifth spots in the order for the Brewers this year, and will no doubt continue to do so while he is hot.

Carter went 2-for-5 with a double, a homer and three RBI against the Twins on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
After hitting .199 with the Astros last season, expectations were low for Carter in Milwaukee, but he's surprised everyone with a .261 average and .970 OPS in the early going. Both those numbers would easily be career highs if he could maintain them, but it's more likely that his average will fall off into the .220-.230 range while he continues serving as a strong source of power numbers.

Carter is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals, according to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy.
EDGE Analysis
Carter has an extra-base hit in three straight games, and tallied six extra-base hits over his last six contests, but manager Craig Counsell decided it was time for Carter's first day off of the season. Regular catcher Jonathan Lucroy will get the start at first base Thursday in Carter's place.

Carter went 2-for-4 with a double and two-run homer in Friday's 6-4 victory over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran slugger victimized his former teammates, launching his first home run of the year in the first inning off Scott Feldman. Carter has at least one hit in each of the last three games and figures to offer plenty of power as Adam Lind's replacement at first base this season.

Carter went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's win against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
It was the first home run Carter has hit for his new team. After enjoying his best season as a pro in 2014, the first baseman took a big step backward last season due to an inability to make consistent contact and a high strikeout rate. Through his first three games, Carter is 2-for-9 (.222) with a home run, three RBI and three strikeouts.
