Carlos Peguero smashed a two-run double in a losing effort against the Blue Jays on Thursday night in Toronto. He finished the night 1-for-4. He's now hitting a highly disappointing .176/.192/.373 with two homers and seven RBI. Peguero's downfall continues to be his inability to make consistent contact, racking up 25 strikeouts in his 52 at-bats on the year.

Getting his first start since his recall, Carlos Peguero went 2-for-3 and a homer Sunday versus the Angels. The Mariners will have plenty of outfielders to give at-bats to this month, so it seems unlikely that Peguero will have any fantasy value. He entered the day as a .143/.163/.286 hitter with 23 strikeouts in 42 at-bats this season.

Mariners recalled OF Carlos Peguero from Triple-A Tacoma. The powerful left-handed hitter slashed a meager .146/.167/.293 with one homer and three RBI in 41 at-bats with the Mariners earlier in the season. He also whiffed an astounding 22 times in the process. The power is certainly real, but Peguero will need to learn how to make consistent contact before he's a factor in fantasy leagues.

Carlos Peguero went 0-for-3 and struck out twice after replacing Ichiro Suzuki in right field for the Mariners on Monday. After 24 at-bats, Peguero has five hits and 12 strikeouts. We wouldn't expect that ratio to change much if the Mariners intend to play him regularly in Ichiro's spot. He just doesn't make enough contact to be an asset.

Mariners recalled OF Carlos Peguero from Triple-A Tacoma. Peguero is batting .293/.369/.633 with 18 homers and 41 RBI at Tacoma this season and has gone deep five times in his last five games. He swings and misses a ton, but Peguero has enough pop to help out in AL-only leagues if he can get some playing time.

Mariners recalled OF Carlos Peguero from Triple-A Tacoma. Peguero was recalled to take Mike Carp's place on the active roster. He has massive power potential, but has struggled to make consistent contact in the major leagues. He'll have to battle Casper Wells and Chone Figgins for playing time in left field.

Mariners optioned OF Carlos Peguero to Triple-A Tacoma. In other words, the Mariners decided to keep Casper Wells around as a fourth outfielder, instead. Peguero slugged four homers this spring, but Wells brings a bit more to the table defensively. The Mariners also reassigned catcher Guillermo Quiroz to minor league camp.
