McCarthy (5-3) held the Nationals to two runs on three hits over seven innings Tuesday, but he was saddled with the loss when the Dodgers fell to the Nationals 2-1.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran was dealing with a blister on his throwing hand in his previous outing, so fantasy owners should be relieved to see him bounce back with no issues Tuesday. The 33-year-old has quietly put together a useful fantasy season, posting a 3.28 ERA with a 3.4 K/BB ratio, numbers close to his fantasy-relevant days in Oakland. McCarthy's normal 71.7 percent strand rate and 3.17 FIP signals that his 2017 success is no fluke, making him a must-own pitcher until his numbers prove otherwise.

McCarthy (finger) will start as expected Tuesday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy exited early in his most recent start June 1 against the Cardinals after developing a blister on his right index finger, but after completing his normal pre-start bullpen session Sunday without incident, he'll be cleared to make his next turn in the rotation. While McCarthy has been excellent this season with a 3.38 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 50.2 innings, he might not make for a strong DFS option while matching up against former Cy Young winner Max Scherzer and a Nationals offense whose .348 wOBA is tied with the Astros for the best mark in baseball.

McCarthy (finger) felt fine during his Sunday bullpen session and expects to make his scheduled start Tuesday against the Nationals, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy's availability for Tuesday's contest was to be determined by the outcome of Sunday's bullpen session and it appears that everything went according to plan. The 33-year-old will face off against Max Scherzer and the Nationals on Tuesday.

McCarthy (finger) will throw a bullpen session Sunday that will determine if he's able to make his scheduled start on Tuesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy was lifted early from Thursday's game against the Cardinals after developing a blister on his right index finger. McCarthy's availability for Tuesday's start against the Nationals will be dependent on the outcome of his bullpen session. If he's not ready to take the mound, Julio Urias is a likely candidate to be recalled as his replacement. An update on his status should become available following the conclusion of the throwing session.

McCarthy was pulled from Thursday's game against the Cardinals after 85 pitches due to a blister on his right index finger, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy allowed two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six batters before being replaced by Josh Fields in the fifth innings. It's unclear if the blister will force McCarthy to miss his next turn in the rotation, but it will be something to monitor given the blister issues that have bothered teammate Rich Hill in the past. If McCarthy is able to take his next turn in the rotation, he would likely face Max Scherzer and the Nationals on Tuesday.

McCarthy (knee) will take the mound for Thursday's game against the Cardinals, SportsNet LA reports.
EDGE Analysis
He is listed on Thursday's lineup card, so it is safe to deploy the oft-injured righty. McCarthy exited his last start with knee tendinitis, and it would not be surprising if he only logs five or six innings, regardless of how well he is pitching.

McCarthy (knee) intends to make his next scheduled start Thursday against the Cardinals, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
McCarthy underwent an MRI following his early exit Saturday, and the results revealed tendinitis, a known condition that McCarthy has been managing all season. Barring an unexpected turn of events, McCarthy will be lined up to face the red-hot Adam Wainwright in Thursday's matchup.

McCarthy was removed from Saturday's start after the sixth inning with right knee tendinitis, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander had cruised through six innings, allowing just two hits and striking out six while throwing just 79 pitches. Unfortunately, manager Dave Roberts said McCarthy had complained about the issue in the fourth inning and was removed as a precautionary measure prior to the seventh. Consider McCarthy day-to-day moving forward, as he aims to be ready for his next scheduled start, Thursday against St. Louis.

Manager Dave Roberts confirmed McCarthy is scheduled to start Saturday against the Cubs, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Dodgers looking to possibly shift Hyun-Jin Ryu to the bullpen, McCarthy is now set to take his next turn in the rotation sooner than expected. The 33-year-old, who owns a 3.08 ERA and 1.18 WHIP through 40.2 innings (seven starts) this season, will face off against John Lackey and the Cubs.

McCarthy (4-1) allowed one run on three hits while walking one and striking out five over six innings in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
He got off to a great start by retiring the first 14 hitters he faced. McCarthy didn't allow his first hit until Derek Dietrich doubled in the fifth inning. It was a nice bounce-back effort for the 33-year-old after he allowed 10 runs in 10.2 innings in his previous two starts against the Giants and Phillies. When healthy, McCarthy is undervalued and can deliver some excellent outings for fantasy owners. With Los Angeles' rotation tight for spots, McCarthy may have just bought himself another turn through.
