Parker pitched a scoreless 10th inning against the Rangers on Saturday to earn his fifth save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
He hit Carlos Gomez with a pitch, but Parker then got Joey Gallo to ground into a game-ending double play. Parker seems to have separated from the pack to take over as the preferred closing option for manager Mike Scioscia. Five different Angels relievers earned saves in August, but Parker has now gotten the call in each of the last four save situations.

Parker retired the final four batters of the game to pick up his third consecutive save Wednesday. He walked none and struck out two in a 10-8 victory over Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Don't look now, but there may be a new front-runner for save opportunities for the Angels. The 32-year-old has been dominant all season with a 2.14 ERA and 11.4 K/9 over 63 appearances and has now converted all of the Halos' last three save chances. Manager Mike Scioscia is unlikely to officially name anyone as his official closer, but Parker should be owned while he is notching saves.

Parker pitched a scoreless ninth with a walk and three strikeouts for his third save of the season in Monday's 3-1 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Parker has now converted two saves in consecutive appearances after being bypassed entirely during Bud Norris' demotion at the beginning of August. It is worth noting that both saves have come on nights where Cam Bedrosian was unavailable due to his inability to pitch in back-to-back games. That said, Parker's recent success in the role coupled with his stellar numbers all season (2.18 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 11.4 K/9) could earn him a few more save opportunities down the stretch.

Parker threw a perfect inning with one strikeout against the Astros on Saturday to earn his second save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
For the first time this season, Parker started the ninth inning in a save situation, as noted by Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. He converted on 12 pitches, making Parker the fifth Angels reliever to record a save this month along with Bud Norris, Keynan Middleton, Yusmeiro Petit and Cam Bedrosian. It looks like the closer-by-committee approach will continue in Anaheim for the time being.

Parker fired a scoreless inning while giving up one hit and striking out two in a 5-1 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Parker has arguably been the Angels' best and most-consistent reliever this season with a 2.30 ERA and 4.5 K/BB ratio, but he has yet to see a save opportunity in August while the club deals with a volatile closing situation. Manager Mike Scioscia stated that he has been deploying the 32-year-old in "high leverage situations" even if they aren't coming in the ninth inning. Parker's absence from the Halos' closing committee severely limits his value in fantasy formats.

Parker was used in the seventh inning Thursday, recording two outs and notching his 11th hold of the season in a win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
After manager Mike Scioscia stated that Parker and Bud Norris were not used for Tuesday's save due to rest, the Angels' skipper opted to go with the former in the seventh inning and the latter in the eighth of a three-run contest. Norris immediately surrendered the lead and Cam Bedrosian was the Halos' reliever who ended up picking up the save Thursday. The key takeaway for Parker's fantasy owners is that he was nowhere near the ninth inning in a game that was heading towards a save situation. It is tough to predict what Scioscia will do on a game-to-game basis, but the 32-year-old appears to be locked in as a setup man for the time being.

Manager Mike Scioscia used Kenyon Middleton to convert Tuesday's save because Bud Norris and Parker were given the night off, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Norris' recent struggles have been well documented, and Parker appeared to be next in line for save opportunities, but his own blowup (three earned runs) in the Angels' last contest left the righty unavailable Tuesday. Scioscia hasn't officially announced a change in his bullpen configuration, but a closing situation involving Norris, Middleton and Parker appears to be fluid with the latter posting the best overall results this season (2.57 ERA and 11.4 K/9).

Parker tossed a clean inning in Tuesday's win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old hasn't allowed a run in nine appearances since returning from the All-Star break, lowering his ERA to 2.09 in the process. Parker has spent the majority of his breakout season as the Angels' setup man, but he could be next in line for save opportunities if Bud Norris (3.89 ERA) pitches his way out of the closer role.

Parker has pitched in the sixth inning in each of his last three appearances.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old Parker earned a save on June 24, but it seems he's now back firmly among the setup corps with the return of Bud Norris. Parker has posted a 2.17 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 52:9 K:BB in 37.1 innings this season, so there's a decent case for stashing him in deeper formats although he's not necessarily next in line for save chances with Cam Bedrosian looming as well.
