Ethier sustained a right tibia fracture and is expected to miss 10-to-14 weeks.
EDGE Analysis
Initial x-rays came back negative after Ethier fouled a ball off his shin Friday, but follow up results spotted the fracture. It won't require surgery, but he's still looking at a lengthy absence that could sideline him until at least the start of June. Carl Crawford and Scott Van Slyke figure to step in and shoulder the left field duties in Ethier's stead.

The results of Ethier's (shin) bone scan won't be released until Tuesday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ethier took a foul ball off his right shin during Friday's game against Arizona and the extent of the injury remains unclear. If he's forced to miss further time away from the diamond, Carl Crawford is the favorite to step in at right field.

Ethier underwent a bone scan on his lower leg Monday, though the results have yet to be revealed, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ethier has been sidelined since fouling a ball off the leg, which produced a contusion and still hasn't allowed the outfielder to put weight on the area. Monday's evaluation should provide some clarification into the next stage of his recovery effort.

Ethier (leg) was spotted on crutches Monday morning, according to MLB.com's Ken Gurnick.
EDGE Analysis
Ethier was expected to return in 2-to-3 days after fouling a ball off his leg Friday, but it looks like he is still feeling plenty of soreness. He could be back sometime this week of course, but with him still needing assistance to move around several days later, he may be dealing with more than just a simple bruise.

Ethier (leg) is expected to return to the lineup within the next few days, Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ethier was taken in for X-rays Friday after fouling a pitch off his shin, but they came back negative and he was diagnosed with a lower leg contusion. He was on crutches in the Dodgers' clubhouse earlier Saturday, but he said, "I feel a lot better than I did yesterday," according to Kaufman. Look for Ethier to rejoin the lineup early next week.

X-rays on Ethier's leg came back negative Friday and he is considered day-to-day with a lower leg contusion.
EDGE Analysis
Ethier had to be carted to the dugout during Friday's game after fouling a ball off his lower leg. He was sent in for X-rays shortly thereafter, and luckily they revealed no fractures in his lower leg. He's considered day-to-day at this point, but the Dodgers could use this weekend to get some fringe players some at-bats while Ethier rests.

Ethier fouled a ball off his shin Friday and had to be carted from the dugout to the clubhouse, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Ethier stayed in to finish off the plate appearance, he was promptly lifted for a pinch-runner after drawing a walk. His inability to make it to the clubhouse under his own power is a troubling sign, but we may not know the extent of the injury until after Ethier undergoes several tests. A Carl Crawford/Scott Van Slyke platoon in left field seems logical if Ethier is forced to miss additional time.

Ethier hit leadoff for the second time in as many starts Friday against the Diamondbacks, going 1-for-2 with a walk to raise his batting average on the spring to .435.
EDGE Analysis
With the Dodgers lacking a "true leadoff man" on the roster, manager Dave Roberts may be giving serious consideration to putting Ethier in that spot versus RHP. He had a .383 OBP versus RHP last year, and though he won't run much, this could net him a couple more steals, more runs, and likely fewer RBI.

Ethier (hand) will bat third in Saturday's split-squad game against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Dave Roberts opted to limit Ethier some Monday to allow him to rest a bruised hand, but Ethier was able to play Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday before receiving a day off Friday. Ethier is 5-for-11 (all singles) with two walks and one strikeout so far this spring.

Ethier is dealing with a bruised hand, but he'll still go through most of Monday's session, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ehtier will be held out of spring game action for at least one more day, but the ailment doesn't look to be anything remotely serious, as he'll still go through batting practice and fielding drills.
