Pollard is slated to sign a three-year, $24 million deal with the Titans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the looming move, it appears as though Derrick Henry will be playing elsewhere in 2024, while Dallas will be in the running back market in free agency and/or the draft. Pollard is now slated to join a backfield that also includes 2023 third-rounder Tyjae Spears, a context that figures to result in some form of an RB timeshare in Tennessee this coming season.

The Cowboys aren't expected to use the franchise tag on Pollard and likely will allow him to test free agency, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schefter is reporting the same thing about Raiders RB Josh Jacobs and Giants RB Saquon Barkley, both of whom received franchise tags last offseason (just like Pollard). Each of the three suffered a statistical decline from 2022 to 2023, especially in terms of yards per carry, though Pollard did better late in the season and ultimately snuck over 1,000 rushing yards for the year. Schefter also reports that RBs Derrick Henry and Austin Ekeler will be allowed to test free agency, with a deep class at the position potentially harming all of them when it comes to salary negotiations.

Pollard carried the ball 15 times for 56 yards and a touchdown and caught seven of nine targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 48-32 wild-card loss to Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
The fifth-year back had a solid day, seeing some early success on the ground and punching in a one-yard touchdown in the third quarter, but the Cowboys' overall struggles put them in a hole that eventually forced the offense to abandon the running game. Pollard had a productive regular season, gaining 1,005 rushing yards -- two short of his career high -- and six TDs on the ground while catching 55 of 67 targets for 311 receiving yards over 17 games, but it's unclear if he'll return as Dallas' starting RB as he heads into free agency.

Pollard carried the ball 17 times for 70 yards and a touchdown and caught both his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Commanders.
EDGE Analysis
The running back wrapped up the regular season with his best performance in over a month, as Pollard scored his first TD since Week 13 and reached 70 rushing yards for the first time since Week 12. He also collected his second straight season with 1,000 rushing yards, just nosing across the line with 1,005 before hitting the bench in favor of Rico Dowdle in the fourth quarter. Pollard will look to carry his momentum into the wild-card round next weekend when the Cowboys host the Packers.

Pollard rushed the ball 16 times for 49 yards in Saturday's 20-19 win over the Lions. He added one reception on three targets for zero yards.
EDGE Analysis
The good news is that Pollard dominated touches out of the Dallas backfield, handling 16 of the team's 21 rushing attempts. The bad news was his efficiency on those touches, as he managed only 3.1 yards per carry with nine of his attempts going for fewer than three yards. Pollard now has been held out of the end zone and kept under 60 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Pollard rushed 12 times for 38 yards and caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 22-20 loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Pollard admitted that he was still recovering from offseason surgery earlier in the season, and that he finally started feeling healthy in recent weeks. However, the results on the field have not fallen in line with the tailback's statements. Pollard's season-long struggles have resulted in a per-carry average more than a full yard below last year's breakout mark of 5.2. Things won't get any easier for Dallas' lead back with a matchup against the fourth-stingiest run defense on tap when the Cowboys host the Lions on Dec. 30.

Pollard said Thursday that during the early portion of the season he was still working his way back from offseason surgery to address a leg fracture, but that "it's a night and day difference now," Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pollard said it wasn't until "halfway through the season, a little bit after the bye week" that he felt he was "starting to get into the groove of things." Heading into Dallas' bye in Week 7, Pollard had logged back-to-back games with under 30 rushing yards, while in eight appearances since he hasn't been held under 50 yards on the ground a single time (4.3 YPC in that span). He's also been targeted at least four times in five of his last six appearance, though it's somewhat concerning that the exception came in last week's loss to the Bills. If Pollard can indeed showcase some extra playmaking ability and burst in Week 16, he could take advantage of a Miami defense that's looked vulnerable versus the run at times.

Pollard rushed the ball 11 times for 52 yards in Sunday's 31-10 loss to the Bills. He added two receptions on three targets for five yards.
EDGE Analysis
Pollard had his rushing volume limited by game script, as the Cowboys were down 21-3 by halftime. More concerning was his lack of opportunity as a pass catcher, as he failed to reach at least 15 receiving yards for the first time in four contests. Overall, Pollard managed his lowest yardage total since Week 10, though his effort came in the context of the entire Dallas offense severely underperforming expectations.

Pollard rushed 16 times for 59 yards and caught seven of eight targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 33-13 win over the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Pollard was stymied on the ground against a tough Philadelphia defensive front, but his contributions as a receiver helped him approach the century mark in total yards. The starter ceded a short score on one of backup Rico Dowdle's 12 carries Sunday. Had Pollard been gifted the one-yard touchdown in the second quarter instead, he would have increased his modest streak of games with 60 rushing yards and a touchdown to four instead of missing both marks. Pollard did eclipse 1,000 combined yards from scrimmage with Sunday's showing, a feat he has accomplished for three years running. Dallas' feature back will face the Bills, who have surrendered 110.9 rushing yards per game this season, on the road next Sunday.

Pollard rushed 20 times for 68 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of four targets for 15 yards in the Cowboys' 41-35 win over the Seahawks on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
The air attack took center stage in a game that somewhat unexpectedly turned into a back-and-forth aerial display, but Pollard put in a workman-like effort that included a six-yard run late in the third quarter to narrow a 28-20 deficit. Pollard gained 16 additional yards on one other carry, meaning the majority of his night was an exercise in grinding out tough yards. The veteran back extended his streak of multi-reception tallies to three games and did the same in terms of number of consecutive contests with 60-plus rushing yards, but he'll have an even tougher assignment in a Week 14 home showdown on Sunday, Dec. 10 against the elite Eagles run defense.
