Roach (concussion) continues to suffer from headaches and may ultimately miss the upcoming 2015-16 season as a result, Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Roach hasn't officially discussed shutting it down for the season as he continues his offseason workouts in California, but some team sources of the San Francisco Chronicle do not expect Roach to take the field, meaning that he'll miss his second-straight season. Further news should be released in due time when Roach and Oakland's medical staff decide his future.

Roach (concussion) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. As of last Friday, Roach had not been fully cleared from his concussion, and his limited designation Wednesday suggests that's still the case. However, Roach, who suffered the concussion late in the preseason, has been able to practice on a limited basis for more than two weeks now, and if he does receive full clearance prior to Friday, he could end up spelling Miles Burris at middle linebacker Sunday against Miami.

Roach (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday. Roach's ability to practice, even on a limited basis, would seem to bode well for his chances of playing Sunday against New England, though he logged a full week of limited practice last week and still ended up sitting against the Texans. When asked if Roach has done more this week than last, coach Dennis Allen said, "He's steadily getting a little bit better every day, and so, again, it's kind of a wait and see deal and see how he responds on a daily basis."
