The Jaguars signed Oluokun to a four-year, $45 million contract extension Friday.

Oluokun's new deal reportedly includes $22.5 million guaranteed at signing, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. In his last three seasons, Oluokun has racked up 192, 184 and 173 total tackles, making him one of the most feared interior linebackers in the league. Now heading into his age-29 season, Oluokun figures to remain a high-end IDP fantasy asset.

Oluokun finished the 2023 season with 173 tackles (111 solo), 2.5 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble in 17 games.

EDGE Analysis

The 28-year-old was unable to clear 180 tackles for the third straight season, but he still led the Jaguars in the category and ranked fourth in the NFL. Oluokun is entering the final year of the three-year, $45 million pact he signed with Jacksonville in 2022, and he should again be a top IDP linebacker in 2024.

Oluokun recorded six tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed in Sunday's 26-0 win versus the Panthers.

EDGE Analysis

In a game where Carolina only posted 15 rush attempts, Oluokun had fewer chances than usual to tackle ball carriers, and he tied his season-low tackle total. Tennessee has leaned more heavily on the run this year, so Oluokun should see more opportunities against the Titans in Week 18.

Oluokun posted 12 tackles (seven solo) and one quarterback hit Sunday in the Week 16 loss to Tampa Bay.

EDGE Analysis

As has become a near-weekly occurrence, Oluokun led the Jaguars in stops Sunday, hitting the double-digit mark for the fourth time over the past five weeks and for the 10th time overall this season. The veteran linebacker has once again been an elite IDP option this season, as he ranks second in the NFL with 160 tackles, including 2.5 sacks, while adding an interception that was returned for a touchdown and a forced fumble. Despite Oluokun's big numbers, he's actually slightly below the pace that led to him recording 184 tackles last year, and he'll need to surpass Zaire Franklin (whom he currently trails by one stop) in order to finish as the league's leading tackler for the third straight campaign.

Oluokun recorded 10 tackles (eight solo) in Sunday's 23-7 loss to Baltimore.

EDGE Analysis

Oluokun was able to register double-digit takedowns for the third time in four contests, producing 41 tackles over those games. The linebacker is up to 148 tackles on the season, just one stop behind Zaire Franklin for the league lead through Week 15.

Oluokun recorded 13 tackles (eight solo) in Monday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Bengals.

EDGE Analysis

As per usual, Oluokun was a very active man in Week 13, recording double-digit tackles for the second straight week and eighth time in 12 contests this season. The linebacker is now up to 131 takedowns, including 2.5 sacks, while also compiling five pass deflections, an interception, a force fumble and two fumble recoveries so far in 2023.

Oluokun recorded 12 tackles (nine solo) in Sunday's 24-21 win at the Texans.

EDGE Analysis

Oluokun managed a double-digit tackle total for the seventh game this season in Week 12. He's incredibly on pace for his third straight season with more than 175 total tackles, making him an elite IDP option even versus the pass-happy Bengals in Week 13.

Oluokun recorded six tackles (two solo) and half of a sack in the Jaguars' 34-14 win over the Titans on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

The inside linebacker also played on 39 of 40 defensive snaps. Oluokun has 107 tackles, five passes defensed, an interception, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble recovery in 2023.

Oluokun tallied nine total tackles (six solo), including three tackles for loss and two sacks in Sunday's 34-3 loss to the 49ers.

EDGE Analysis

Oluokun fell one short of double-digit tackles for the first time in four weeks during Sunday's blowout loss, and he's been able to record 10 or more tackles in six of the Jaguars' nine games thus far. The Yale product was also able to get after the quarterback in Week 10, recording his first two sacks of the season. Expect Oluokun to continue racking up tackles and making big plays for Jacksonville's defense going forward.

Oluokun had 11 tackles (nine solo) and a forced fumble in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Steelers.

EDGE Analysis

It's the third game in a row that Oluokun has registered double-digit tackles and the sixth time this season he has hit that mark. He leads the team with 92 tackles -- 44 ahead of Devin Lloyd, who sits in second on the team, and ranks second in the NFL behind Zaire Franklin (102). Oluokun has played on every defensive snap for the Jaguars this year and will likely hit 100-plus tackles for the season. The Jaguars have a bye in Week 10 against the 49ers.
