Dozier, who was placed on injured reserve in June, recently underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old was carted off the practice field with the injury during minicamp and subsequently landed on injured reserve, though the specifics of the issue weren't previously known. Dozier joined Chicago on a one-year deal in March, but he's now set to miss the full 2022 campaign.

The Bears placed Dozier (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier was carted off the practice field last week due to an apparent left knee injury, per Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune. However, the team has yet to confirm that report. The 2014 fourth-round pick signed a one-year deal this offseason to provide depth to both guard positions along the Bears' offensive line, but he'll have an uphill battle to make the roster after missing a significant portion of the offseason.

The Vikings placed Dozier on their practice squad's COVID-19 list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier managed to start for the Vikings at offensive guard for all 16 games during the 2020 season; however, he's spent his 2021 campaign on Minnesota's practice squad. The offensive guard now finds himself on the reserve/COVID-19 list and won't be able to return to the practice field for at least a few days. It's possible the Vikings sign a player to fill in for Dozier while he's on the practice squad reserve list.

Jets signed fourth-round OG Dakota Dozier to a four-year contract. The 137th pick in last weekend's draft, Dozier is one of Rotoworld draft guru Josh Norris' favorites. He needs to get stronger, but we wouldn't put it past Dozier to challenge 2013 third-rounder Brian Winters for a starting job.
