Wentz completed 22 of 30 passes for 272 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Colts' 45-30 win over the Jets on Thursday night. He also rushed four times for 13 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Wentz was sharp in the high-scoring win and connected with Michael Pittman, offensive lineman Danny Pinter and Jack Doyle for his trio of scoring tosses. The sixth-year pro helped the Colts jump out to a 28-10 halftime lead with two of those touchdown passes, locking in his sixth straight multi-touchdown game. The performance was a strong bounce-back effort for Wentz following two back-breaking interceptions in Sunday's overtime loss to the Titans, and he'll look to carry over his momentum into a Week 10 home battle against the vulnerable Jaguars a week from Sunday.

Wentz completed 27 of 51 passes for 231 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Colts' 34-31 overtime loss to the Titans on Sunday. He also rushed three times for 11 yards and fumbled once without turning it over.
EDGE Analysis
Wentz came into the critical divisional clash having thrown just one interception all season, but he broke that favorable pattern with two of the more ill-timed picks he'll likely toss this year. The two turnovers came in the closing minutes of regulation and overtime, the first giving the Titans' a walk-in, go-ahead pick-six with 1:26 remaining and featuring a surprisingly careless left-handed throw from the sixth-year pro at his own two-yard line. While Wentz subsequently made up for the gaffe by leading a five-play, 75-yard drive to send the game into overtime, he doubled down on his game-changing errors with a second interception on a deep pass intended for Michael Pittman that was snagged by Kevin Byard with 5:48 remaining in the extra period. The Titans would go on to kick a game-winning field goal, leaving Wentz with a serious blemish on his overall day, including from a fantasy perspective. He and the Colts now will look to regroup quickly, as a Week 9 Thursday night home date against the Jets awaits.

Mon 10/25/21 12:38 AM

Wentz completed 17 of 26 pass attempts for 150 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing four times for 23 yards and another score in Sunday's 30-18 win over the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Wentz somehow wasn't credited with an interception when he shovel-passed the ball directly into Azeez Al-Shaair's arms in the second quarter, instead recording his third fumble lost of the season. Outside of that ugly play, the veteran quarterback held his own in a heavy downpour and blustering winds at Levi's Stadium. Wentz doesn't provide a ton of upside in his new digs, but he has been a surprisingly safe fantasy option with an 11:1 TD:INT ratio through seven games this season. The Colts will face a stiff test against the Titans next Sunday.

Wentz completed 11 of 20 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-3 win over Houston. He added one rushing yard on two attempts.
EDGE Analysis
Wentz opened the scoring with a 51-yard deep ball to Parris Campbell late in the first quarter and added a 28-yard touchdown to Mo Alie-Cox in the third to give the Colts a 17-3 lead, then deferred to Jonathan Taylor and the ground game as the Colts ran away with it. He has quietly amassed an efficient 9:1 TD:INT this season, including multiple touchdown passes in each of the past three games. Wentz will look to keep that streak going on the road in Week 7 against a 49ers team that will be coming out of its bye.

Wentz completed 25 of 35 passes for 402 yards and two touchdowns in Monday night's 31-25 overtime loss to the Ravens. He also was sacked twice and lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Wentz started with a swing pass that tailback Jonathan Taylor took 76 yards for a touchdown on Indianapolis' opening drive, giving the team its first TD in the first quarter all season. The signal-caller then did well to lead the Colts into the red zone on his second series, only to be subsequently sacked while losing a fumble in the process. To begin the third quarter, though, Wentz added another touchdown thanks to a remarkable contested grab by Michael Pittman that went for 42 yards. Along with his big scoring plays, Wentz made hay with intermediate and screen completions, helping him rack up easily his most yardage as a Colt. Although his 400-plus yards still weren't enough to clinch a victory, Wentz at least approaches Week 6's favorable matchup against the Texans coming off a strong performance.

Wentz was listed as a full participant on the Colts' initial Week 5 injury report released Thursday, an indication that the team is comfortable with his health after he sprained both of his ankles in a Week 2 loss to the Rams, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports. "I definitely feel much better," Wentz said. "I came out of the [Colts' Week 4 win over the Dolphins] thankfully unscathed. Felt good the next morning and the extra rest here early in the week has definitely helped as well."
EDGE Analysis
The Colts' injury report featured "ankle" rather than "ankles" next to his name, suggesting that he's at least 100 percent recovered from one of the sprains. The other ankle sprain doesn't look like it will bother him much moving forward, either, even though he had a rough outing in his first game coming off the injury in the Week 3 loss to the Titans. Wentz bounced back well in Week 4 with his best performance as a Colt, completing 24 of 32 attempts for 228 yards and two touchdowns while carrying five times for eight yards. Wentz's involvement in the run game was a particularly encouraging sight, given that he didn't attempt any runs against the Titans in his first game coming off the injury. The Colts shouldn't have to adjust their game plan out of any concern for Wentz's health in Monday's contest in Baltimore.

Wentz (ankles) completed 24 of 32 passes for 228 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Colts' 27-17 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He also rushed five times for eight yards.
EDGE Analysis
Playing through twin ankle sprains for the second straight week, Wentz turned in a solid, mistake-free workmanlike effort to help the Colts garner their first win of the season. The offseason arrival got plenty of help from Jonathan Taylor (16-103-1) on the ground, and he connected with a whopping 10 different pass catchers. Wentz appeared to be moving a bit better than during a Week 3 loss to the Titans, and he's now put together a fantasy-friendly 5:1 TD:INT through four games. Wentz has still to notch his first 300-yard effort as a member of the Colts, however, a matter he'll look to rectify in a Week 5 road battle against the Ravens on Monday, Oct. 11.

Wentz (ankles) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Wentz will continue to tough it out through his ankle woes, and while the QB still isn't 100 percent, he noted heading into Week 4 action that he's "definitely in a better place than last week." With that in mind, it's possible that Wentz will be able to move around better this Sunday than he did last weekend, when he completed 19 of 37 passes for 194 yards and did not record a rushing attempt in the Colts' 25-16 loss to the Titans.

Wentz (ankles) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins after being listed as limited at practice this past week.
EDGE Analysis
That said, there's nothing to suggest that the QB's Week 4 status is in danger after he toughed it out through his ankle woes in the team's loss to the Titans last Sunday. Earlier this week, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin relayed that Wentz was feeling better than he did leading up to Week 3 action, so while the QB still isn't 100 percent, it's plausible that he'll be able to move around better this weekend, assuming he's active as expected.

Wentz (ankles) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
While tending to sprains of both ankles, Wentz only managed one limited practice last week before playing every snap in the Colts' loss to the Titans. Though he didn't attempt a run for the first time all the season and was inaccurate in the pocket (19-for-37 for 194 yards), Wentz appears to have come out of the game in better health. He's turned in a pair of limited practices to begin Week 4, a sign that he's on track to start again Sunday in Miami.
