Johnson underwent arthroscopic knee surgery recently and continues to rehab on his own, Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean reports. The Titans have no timetable for Johnson's return to practices. The nose tackle appeared in all 16 games for the team last season, finishing with 22 tackles and three sacks. If healthy for the start of 2014, Johnson will likely see a relatively light snap load behind starter Sammie Lee Hill.

The Titans are in contract talks with free agent DT Antonio Johnson. Johnson is apparently a player new DC Ray Horton has pinpointed as a fit for his scheme. Johnson goes 6-foot-3, 328 and would likely return as a backup nose tackle or five technique. The former Colt turned 29 years old in December.

Titans signed DT Antonio Johnson and waived/failed physical LB Tom Wort. Wort was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma. Johnson, who signed a one-year deal, started 13 games for the division rival Colts last season, making 26 tackles without a sack. He was Pro Football Focus' 80th-rated defensive tackle out of 85, particularly struggling in run defense.

Free agent DT Antonio Johnson visited the Chargers. Johnson started 13 games for the Colts last season, but won't be back after they revamped their defensive line. He graded out as the sixth-worst defensive tackle in Pro Football Focus' ratings, and ideally wouldn't be a starter for the Bolts.

Antonio Johnson opened offseason practices as the Colts' starting nose tackle, with Brandon McKinney as the backup. Corey Redding opened as the starting left end, with Drake Nevis on the opposite side. Fili Moala, a 2009 second-rounder, is stuck in a backup role in new coach Chuck Pagano's 3-4 scheme. Robert Mathis moved from strong-side linebacker back to his old left-end home in nickel packages.

Colts re-signed DTs Antonio Johnson and Eric Foster, OT Michael Toudouze, and OG Kyle DeVan. They also claimed tight end Tyson DeVree off waivers from Cleveland. Johnson, a 26-year-old rotational reserve, will push for significant snaps this season. Foster is a lightweight former Rutgers Scarlet Knight. Toudouze is a journeyman tackle, and DeVan is the Colts' probable starting left guard.
