Cozart is out of the lineup Saturday against the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
Jose Peraza will start at shortstop and hit second for the Reds while Cozart moves to the bench. Cozart went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Friday's game, but will likely return to action for Sunday's series finale against Pittsburgh.

Cozart (shin) is batting second and playing shortstop Tuesday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Cozart, who missed a pair of games over the weekend after being hit by a pitch in the shin Friday, is back in action following Monday's off day. The 32-year-old, who is slashing .313/.404/.578 with 17 homers through 88 games, will look to continue his breakout campaign as he faces John Lackey in his return to the lineup.

Cozart (shin) is out of Sunday's lineup against the Braves, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
He left Friday's game after getting hit by a pitch in the shin and will now miss his second straight game. Jose Peraza will start at shortstop and hit second. Perhaps Monday's off day will provide Cozart enough time to get right in advance of a series against the Cubs.

Cozart is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Cozart exited Friday's game in the seventh inning after being hit by a pitch in the shin, according to C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer, and although he doesn't believe the injury is anything overly serious, the Reds will play it safe and give him an extra day of rest. Jose Peraza is starting in his place at shortstop.

Cozart is not in the Reds' lineup Thursday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With no news of an injury, this appears to be a mere breather for the breakout bat. Jose Peraza takes his place at the six and bats second. Cozart's owners, however, would love to have him in the lineup as much as possible. He's torn through August with a .282/.391/.667 slash with five home runs and nine RBI over 46 plate appearances.

Cozart went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Wednesday's loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The shortstop has been on a tear of late with five bombs, nine RBI and nine runs through his past nine games. In fact, with a .312/.401/.580 slash line for the campaign, injuries have been the only thing to slow down Cozart this season. He remains a strong option at the 6 in the majority of formats, and being locked into the two-hole of the lineup in front of Joey Votto is an excellent fantasy setup.

Cozart is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Cozart has been red hot at the plate recently -- hitting home runs in three straight games -- but he'll be given the day off as the Reds close out their weekend series against Matt Garza and the Brewers. Jose Peraza will take over at shortstop and hit seventh.

Cozart went 1-for-4 with a walk and solo home run in Saturday's loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The first-time All-Star has homered in three straight games and four times this week. He's made two trips to the DL since mid-June due to quadriceps issues, and while Cozart seems to have his legs back under him now, manager Bryan Price may try to be proactive and give Cozart a day off or two in the near future.

Cozart went 3-for-5 with a walk, a home run, three runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 11-10 win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
He got the night's fireworks started early with a solo shot in the top of the first inning, Cozart's 15th homer of the year. Despite two separate DL stints the shortstop has exploded offensively in 2017, and his .988 OPS is over two hundred points higher than his previous best.

Wed 8/9/17 1:45 PM

Cozart is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
There has been no hint of an aggravation of the quad issue or a new injury, so it seems the Reds are just being cautious the 31-year-old in his first week back from the DL. Cozart had started three straight following his activation, going 3-for-13 with a homer, his 13th of the year. He should continue to man the shortstop position close to every day over the remainder of the season.
