Wright experienced pain in his left shoulder or upper back during Friday's appearance and could be headed to the disabled list, MASN Sports reports.
Wright described the pain as a sharp soreness after allowing a run on two hits Friday and will likely be examined before Saturday's game. The Orioles may be due to activate David Lough from the disabled list, so from that standpoint the roster move would make sense.

Wright allowed two hits and struck out one in a scoreless inning in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game and he remains a candidate for a rotation spot.
The Orioles have been tied to trade talks involving Brian Matusz, according to MASN Sports. That could open up a spot for Wright to serve in middle relief. If Matusz remains with the Orioles, there is a good chance Wright begins the season in the minors.

Wright agreed to a one-year contract with the Orioles on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
The 29-year-old lefty saw his strikeout rate fall by more than two per nine innings last season (from 9.2 K/9 to 6.9 K/9), and his walk rate ticked up slightly as well (from 3.2 BB/9 to 3.5 BB/9), but he still turned in a respectable 3.17 ERA in 58 appearances with the Cubs. He's now slated to head back to the AL next season, but Wright will likely be nothing more than a middle-inning option for Baltimore.

The Cubs declined to tender Wright a contract, the Chicago Sun-Times' Gordon Wittenmyer reports.
Wright has been adequate at preventing runs as a reliever over the past four seasons, but his strikeout rated dipped to 17.7 percent in 2014, which likely made him expendable in the Cubs' estimation.

Cubs signed LHP Wesley Wright to a one-year, $1.425 million contract.
Bob Nightengale of USA Today passed along the terms of the contract. Wright, 28, posted a 3.69 ERA and 55/19 K/BB ratio over 53 2/3 innings between the Astros and Rays this past season. He should be a weapon against left-handed batters out of the Cubs' bullpen.

The Cubs and LHP Wesley Wright have agreed to a one-year deal believed to be worth $1.425 million, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
Wright posted a 3.69 ERA and 55/19 K/BB ratio over 53 2/3 innings between the Astros and Rays in 2013. The 28-year-old was recently non-tendered by the Rays.

Rays non-tendered LHP Wesley Wright.
Wright was due for a raise to around $1.5 million in his second year of arbitration, which is more than the cost-conscious Rays were willing to spent. The southpaw holds a 3.28 ERA since 2011 and can be tough on lefties, so he'll get a job somewhere.
