Wright (shoulder) threw an inning in extended spring training Tuesday, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports. Manager Buck Showalter indicated that Wright may only need one or two more extended spring appearances before being activated or sent on a minor league rehab assignment. Wright has pitched just 1.2 innings this season, but figures to rejoin the big league bullpen when he's fully healthy.

Wright (shoulder) threw off a mound at Baltimore's spring training complex Wednesday, MASN Sports reports. Wright has been throwing for over a week. It seems he is still on a timetable to begin a minor league rehab assignment sometime after May 19 when Wright is scheduled to pitch in an extended spring training game.

Wright (shoulder) will throw off a full mound Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Wright remains about two weeks out from his first extended spring game action, but he'll begin throwing within the week. He appeared in two big league games this season before getting hurt, and figures to continue serving as a low-leverage bullpen option when healthy.

Wright (shoulder) is tentatively scheduled to pitch in his first extended game on May 19, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Wright is set to begin throwing this week, and this development suggests roughly a two-week timetable for a return to game action. Once he's back in the bigs, Wright is still unlikely to see high-leverage situations out of the gates.

Wright (shoulder) could begin throwing next week, according to Baltimore's radio broadcast Wednesday. Wright has been on the shelf since the first week of the season. If he can throw next week he is probably 2-to-3 weeks from returning to the Orioles after a minor league rehab assignment.

Wright (shoulder) is close to beginning a throwing program, MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli reports. Wright was placed on the disabled list April 11 and ruled out for 4-to-6 weeks due to left shoulder inflammation. It seems the time off he's received has allowed the inflammation to calm down at least a little bit, so he'll attempt to build his arm strength back up in preparation for a return to the O's bullpen. Wright posted a 3.17 ERA and 1.38 WHIP over 48.1 innings with the Cubs last season.

Wright will miss the next 4-6 weeks after an MRI on his left shoulder revealed inflammation, Don Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports. This is certainly a tough way for the 30-year-old to start his season as he'll spend the next month rehabbing. Additionally, Wright will have to spend some time in the minors before he gets the green light to assume his normal spot in Baltimore's bullpen.

Wright (shoulder) will have an MRI on Sunday, CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Dubroff reports. He was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday after being diagnosed with a left trapezius strain. Eddie Gamboa was recalled to take a place in the O's bullpen, and Wright should be out for at least a couple weeks.

Wright, who was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday, has been diagnosed with a left trapezius strain, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports. Eddie Gamboa was recalled to take Wright's place in the O's bullpen and is active for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays. Wright was placed on the DL Saturday and the team later elaborated that it was a trapezius strain that forced him from Friday's outing, though a timetable for his return was not offered up. An earliest possible activation date will be April 26.

Wright (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday, the Baltimore Sun's Eduardo Encina reports. It is not clear how serious the issue is, but it will keep Wright out of action for at least the next two weeks. Journeyman Eddie Gamboa will join the team if he can catch his flight, but if not, the O's could activate David Lough from the disabled list Saturday.
