The Marlins selected Moore's contract Sunday and added him to the Opening Day roster, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins officially placed Martin Prado (hamstring) on the 10-day DL on Sunday, enabling Moore to crack the Opening Day roster. He's expected to serve as the top backup to Justin Bour at first base and may occasionally see time in the corner outfield if either Marcell Ozuna or Giancarlo Stanton require time off. Expect Moore to head to Triple-A New Orleans once Prado is activated from the DL.

Moore may have won a spot on the Marlins' 25-man roster to begin the regular season, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
The slugger had a good spring, hitting .314 with five home runs, and Martin Prado's hamstring injury opens up a spot on the bench with Derek Dietrich now starting at third base. The loss of Jake Esch on waivers to the Padres also creates a vacancy on the 40-man roster, which would be the final hurdle to Moore breaking camp with the big club. The former National would primarily be used as a pinch-hitter, but he could see occasional starts at first base against tough left-handers if he does win the job.

Moore got the start in left field in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins, going 2-for-2 with a two-run home run.
EDGE Analysis
It's his second home run of the spring already, as the former National tries to win a spot on the Marlins' bench. He's got an uphill battle, as the team will most likely carry eight relievers and try to make do without a platoon partner for Justin Bour at first base, but a big performance from Moore in camp could at least put him in line for a call-up during the season if that plan changes.

Moore agreed to a minor league contract with the Marlins on Tuesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old spent the entirety of last season with the Braves' Triple-A affiliate, but even though he only managed to bat .229 with three homers during his time there, he does have over 600 major league at-bats to his name from when he was with the Nationals. With Justin Bour locked in as the starter in Miami, though, Moore will likely be relegated to an organizational depth role.

Moore was placed on the minor league DL this week with an undisclosed injury.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old had 21 strikeouts in 62 at-bats for Triple-A Gwinnett before landing on the DL. While the Braves could summon him as a bench bat later this season, he won't bring much to the table from a fantasy standpoint.

The Braves acquired Moore from the Nationals in exchange for Nate Freiman on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Moore has received 601 at-bats with the Nationals over the past four seasons, putting together a .228/.281/.401 line, 24 homers, 91 RBI, 58 runs, and a 40:178 BB:K. Falling short of that standard this spring with a .129/.206/.355 batting line in 31 at-bats, he'll likely begin the season as organizational depth in the corner outfield and at first base with Triple-A Gwinnett.

Moore was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After being placed on waivers Thursday, Moore cleared them Friday and has been removed off the 40-man roster. He'll head to Syracuse to get more reps after putting together a poor showing with the Nationals this spring. The 29-year-old infielder had a career-high 187 at-bats last season and hit a career-low .203 to go with a .250 OBP.

Moore has been placed on waivers, James Wagner of the Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Any team claiming Moore will also take on the $900,000 contract he signed to avoid arbitration this season. Wagner hit .203/.250/.364 in 97 games for the Nationals last season and hasn't posted an OPS above .700 since 2012.

Moore signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Nationals on Wednesday, avoiding arbitration, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 2015 season was one to forget for Moore, as he slugged just .364 in 97 games and turned in a career-worst .250 OBP. He's also limited defensively, with first base and left field being the only spots he can play, but Moore will presumably fill a bench spot again in 2016 at a relatively low cost to the Nats.

Moore got the start at first base Saturday and went 2-for-4 with a solo shot, his fifth home run of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Ryan Zimmerman may not play again this season, so look for Moore to man the short side of a platoon at the position with Clint Robinson.
