2021 Shortstop Rankings - 5x5 Mixed Leagues rotoballer.com Mon 2/22/21 10:25 AM

Once upon a time, shortstop was one of the toughest positions to fill in fantasy baseball, just a small notch above catcher. 10 years ago, we were prioritizing Troy Tulowitzki and Hanley Ramirez near the top of drafts just because they filled that elusive shortstop spot. Sure, they were fantastic hitters when healthy but without that shortstop eligibility, they would have been dropping to the second or third round some years, if not lower.Today, the situation is completely different. Shortstop...

Troy Tulowitzki Sent Home rotoballer.com Wed 6/5/19 6:39 PM

New York Yankees shortstop Troy Tulowitzki (calf) is no longer working out at the team's spring training complex and has been allowed to go home to "get over that (injury) hump and kind of push through the finish line of getting exactly right," manager Aaron Boone said. It's a setback and one that makes Tulo probably droppable even in AL-only leagues. He'll have to restart his rehab work again when he's deemed ready and is highly unlikely to return before the All-Star break at this point. It's [...]

Troy Tulowitzki Could Start Rehab Assignment Next Week rotoballer.com Fri 5/24/19 4:03 PM

New York Yankees shortstop Troy Tulowitzki (calf) had nine plate appearances in his first simulated game on Friday since re-injuring his left calf. He has not played for the Yankees since April 3 but could start a rehab assignment next week. Tulo has been taking grounders at shortstop, third and second base. At this point, it looks like Didi Gregorius (elbow) will make it back before Tulowitzki, so Tulo will have to serve in a utility infield role upon his return. The oft-injured veteran just [...]

Troy Tulowitzki Willing To Change Positions For Yankees rotoballer.com Mon 5/20/19 10:19 PM

Troy Tulowitzki approached the Yankees and told them he would be willing to play positions other than shortstop. This is a desperation move for Tulowitzki, as he will be blocked from his regular shortstop position by the return of Didi Gregorius. He has never played a position other than shortstop in his career, but he was seen taking groundballs at third base prior to today's game. His 12 total at-bats since 2017 should force us to exercise caution in adding him to our fantasy teams if he doe[...]

Deeper AL-Only Waiver Wire Sleepers for Week 6 rotoballer.com Thu 5/9/19 9:00 AM

Every week in baseball, a significant player will hit the disabled list, slip into a slump, or get traded out of a good spot. How fantasy owners adapt to these situations can make or break the season as a whole. One lousy add might not hurt the long-term standing of a team, but failing to take advantage of breakouts or impact bats before others sure can.The primary challenge of playing in an NL or AL-only league is often the lack of options regarding adding and subtracting players when needed. I[...]
