Tommy Hanson told reporters after exiting his Wednesday Cactus League start that he feels "fine." Hanson was pulled from the game after three innings because of tightness in his right triceps muscle. But he claims that early exit was totally precautionary. "They're just taking the cautious route," the 26-year-old right-hander told reporters. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Tommy Hanson has been diagnosed with right triceps tightness. That's the official word from the Angels. Hanson made an early exit from his Cactus League start on Wednesday afternoon against the Indians and is obviously in danger now of opening the 2013 regular season on the disabled list. The 26-year-old right-hander has dealt with both back and shoulder injuries over the past two summers. He was a risky bet in fantasy leagues even before this.

Tommy Hanson left his Cactus League start Wednesday in the fourth inning due to an apparent injury. Hanson appeared to be grabbing at his right shoulder when Angels manager Mike Scioscia approached the mound with a trainer. It's obviously not a good sign. Hanson allowed two earned runs in three innings against the Indians before making his premature departure. He has an ugly 8.25 ERA in 12 total frames this spring.

Tommy Hanson's miserable spring training continued on Friday, where he was shelled by the Mariners for three runs on a pair of hits over four innings. Hanson also walked one and struck out one on the afternoon. All of the damage stemmed from his inability to keep the ball in the yard, as Julio Morban blasted a two-run homer in the second inning, and Justin Smoak added on a solo shot in the fourth. Hanson has now allowed four homers in just nine spring innings, and owns an even 9.00 ERA through his first three starts.

Tommy Hanson was charged with five earned runs on seven hits over three innings in Sunday's loss to the Royals. Hanson claims to be healthy this spring, but he hasn't showed it. The right-hander has a 10.80 ERA in four Cactus League starts. We're taking a wait-and-see approach with Hanson after last year's velocity and overall production issues.

Tommy Hanson allowed one run over two innings in Tuesday's win over the Reds. The righty permitted three hits and didn't record a walk or strikeout in his first spring outing. Hanson contends that he's 100 percent healthy and much stronger than he was last year, but fantasy owners should take a wait-and-see approach after last year's velocity and overall production issues.

Tommy Hanson told ESPN's Jim Bowden that he's not only 100 percent healthy but is much stronger than he was last year due to a new offseason conditioning program. Hanson's velocity and results took a downturn in 2012 as he dealt with shoulder issues, but it sounds like he's convinced his problems are behind him. But, while it's encouraging that he's feeling well, we'd like to see his velocity returning in game action.

Angels avoided arbitration with RHP Tommy Hanson by agreeing to a one-year, $3.725 million contract. Hanson was in his first year of arbitration eligibility. The right-hander's velocity and results took a downturn in 2012 as he dealt with shoulder issues, posting a 4.48 ERA over 31 starts. He'll hope to bounce back for the Angels in 2013.

Angels acquired RHP Tommy Hanson from the Braves in exchange for RHP Jordan Walden. The trade is now official. Hanson looked like a potential top-of-the-rotation starter not long ago, but he's dealt with shoulder issues over the last year and has seen his velocity decline steadily. The right-hander posted a 4.48 ERA and 1.45 WHIP this past season for the Braves. The Angels are still in the market for another starter, with Zack Greinke obviously at the top of that list.

Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that the Angels have acquired Tommy Hanson from the Braves in exchange for Jordan Walden. Hanson's stock has dropped big time over the last year as shoulder problems cropped up and his velocity declined, which is why the Braves were only able to get a reliever for him. He's also arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. That said, if he can rediscover some lost pep on his fastball, he could be a nice mid-rotation starter for the Angels. Walden strengthens an already very formidable Braves bullpen.
