Gorzelanny (shoulder) is on a rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie.
EDGE Analysis
Gorzelanny made his third rehab appearance (first for St. Lucie) over the weekend, striking out one batter in an otherwise clean ninth inning to pick up the save. He hasn't pitched since March because of a left shoulder injury, so he'll likely need a few more rehab games before joining Triple-A Las Vegas.

Gorzelanny has been dealing with a left shoulder injury and was sent for tests Monday, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gorzelanny has not pitched since March 16 because of the injury to his throwing shoulder. The 34-year-old was a non-roster invitee to camp, where he struggled, posting a 9.45 ERA in 6.2 innings. Combined with other solid left-handed bullpen options competing for roster spots, the injury has all but guaranteed Gorzelanny will not make the team. Last season, he appeared in just seven games for the Indians.

Gorzelanny signed a minor league deal with the Mets on Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will receive $1 million if he makes the big league club, and could earn $1.8 million in incentives. Gorzelanny will be free to opt out and sign with an Asian team if he is not guaranteed a big league roster spot by Mar. 24. He serves as another left-handed option for the Mets to consider for a low-leverage role.

Gorzelanny declined his outright assignment to Triple-A and will become a free agent.
EDGE Analysis
He has a 3.38 ERA in 19 relief appearances at Triple-A, so there's a chance he'll likely be scooped up by someone on a minor league deal. That said, his upside is as a low-leverage big league reliever, so there's not much to see here from a fantasy perspective.

Gorzellany was designated for assignment by the Indians on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Gorzellany, who is primarily used as a lefty specialist, hadn't given up a run for the Tribe all year until he was shelled for six earned runs in Sunday's blowout loss to the Blue Jays. That performance effectively got him booted from the 40-man roster in order to make room for fresh arms in relief.

Gorzelanny agreed to stay with the Indians on Monday after being informed he would not make the Opening Day roster, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander could've elected free agency, but he'll stick on with the Tribe. Although he'll start the season with Triple-A, he could be one of the first pitchers to be recalled if an injury strikes the big league club or if Cleveland is in need of a left-hander.

Gorzelanny was informed Saturday that he will not make the Indians' Opening Day roster, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians announced Saturday that Joba Chamberlain will make the Opening Day roster, which is likely what took Gorzelanny out of the bullpen equation. He is on a minor league deal with the Indians, but the veteran lefty could opt for free agency and test the market for teams looking for left-handed relievers.

Gorzelanny signed a minor league deal, which includes a spring training invite, with the Indians on Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old spent last season with the Tigers organization, appearing in 48 major league games alongside nine outings at Triple-A. In those 48 appearances, Gorzelanny posted a 5.95 ERA to go with a .1729 WHIP and 8.2 K/9. Gorzelanny will attempt to make the Indians' roster out of spring training, but he could begin the year at Triple-A.

Gorzelanny cleared waivers and will report to Triple-A Toledo, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports. After struggling in 24 innings with the Tigers, Gorzelanny was designated for assignment Friday and made his way through waivers. After posting a 1.96 WHIP and a 6.38 ERA in the majors, the 32-year-old will hope to right the ship in Triple-A.

Gorzelanny was designated for assignment on Friday, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports. He has a 6.75 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 24 innings of relief, so he was certainly expendable when the Tigers were looking to open up a spot on the 40-man roster. Look for him to clear waivers and be sent to Triple-A Toledo.
