Delabar had his contract selected Saturday from Triple-A Louisville.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds announced a slew of moves Saturday afternoon, and both Delabar and Drew Hayes will join the team from Louisville. In order to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for Delabar, Cincinnati moved catcher Devin Mesoraco (shoulder) to the 60-day DL. Delabar will add right-handed depth to the Reds' bullpen, and there's an outside chance he could be tried in a closing role after the team optioned J.J. Hoover back to Triple-A on Saturday.

Delabar was signed to a minor-league contract by the Reds on Saturday, C. Trent Rosecrans of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Delabar, who was released by the Blue Jays this past week, will provide pitching depth in the Reds' organization with the possibility of a call-up at certain points throughout the season. The former all-star appeared in 31 games for Toronto last season, but struggled his way to a 5.22 ERA.

Delabar was released by the Blue Jays this week.
EDGE Analysis
He may latch on with a minor league deal elsewhere. Delabar made the AL All-Star team in 2013, but has struggled in the two seasons since.

Delabar and the Blue Jays agreed to terms on a one-year, $835,000 deal Friday, avoiding arbitration, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Delabar split last season between Triple-A and Toronto, posting a 5.22 ERA while going 2-0 in 31 appearances for the Blue Jays. The veteran will likely enter a similar situation in 2016, as he attempts to earn his way into a more permanent major league role.

Delabar was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Barry Davis of SportsNet reports.
EDGE Analysis
The reliever has split the season between Triple-A and the Blue Jays, and he holds a 3.33 ERA across 27 cumulative major league innings. The 32-year-old will return to add depth to the Toronto bullpen over the final few weeks of the regular season.

Delabar collected his first save of the year Wednesday in Tampa, striking out two in a clean bottom of the 10th. A nice one for those who happen to own Delabar, but don't go rushing out to pick him up -- Roberto Osuna had already pitched in the ninth, and ex-closer Brett Cecil had pitched the 11th. Nonetheless, Delabar's been money for those who've been using him for ratios, posting a spectacular 1.42 ERA and 0.79 WHIP through 19 appearances.

Delabar gave up one earned run in an inning of Tuesday's loss to the Rays. After being named closer coming into Tuesday's game, Delabar hardly inspired confidence thanks to the eighth inning home run he allowed. Delabar has only allowed three earned runs all season in 18 innings of work; however, all three of those earned runs have come via the long ball. While his peripherals are sparkling (a 1.50 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP while striking out more than a batter per inning), it remains to be seen as to whether the 31-year-old can retain the closer's job long-term.

Delabar will serve as Toronto's closer Tuesday but has not been named the official closer moving forward, Barry Davis of Sportsnet reports. Brett Cecil lost his job as the Blue Jays' closer on Tuesday, and since Roberto Osuna pitched two innings Monday, Delabar will take the mound if a save situation is in play against the Rays. Delabar's hold on the closer's role is no sure thing moving forward, however, as Roberto Osuna has been electric out of the bullpen this season.

Delabar pitched 1.1 perfect innings Wednesday, striking out two. While not typically used in high leverage situations, Delabar has quickly established himself as one of the top options in the Blue Jays' pen. He's given up just one earned run since May 11 and has picked up 18 strikeouts over 15 innings pitched this season. With a 1.20 ERA and a 0.67 WHIP to go along with his 10.8 K/9 rate, which is actually below his career average of 11.49, Delabar is an intriguing pickup as his usage increases.

Delabar pitched 1.1 innings, struck out one and picked up the win against the White Sox on Tuesday. Delabar missed the 25-man roster at the start of the season in favor Miguel Castro and Roberto Osuna; however, while Castro is now down in the minors, Delabar has been one of the top options out of the bullpen. In eight appearances, he's given up only two hits and one earned run while striking out 10. With that being said, he does have five walks. His high strikeout rate makes him intriguing, but he has limited fantasy value due to his lack of appearances in high-leverage situations.
