The Mets managed only three hits off Chris Bassitt, but Marte at least was able to get into scoring position after his. The veteran outfielder has been frisky on the basepaths lately, swiping eight of his 17 bags on the year over the last 18 games -- a stretch in which he's slashing .286/.355/.375 with a homer, eight RBI and 10 runs.

The veteran outfielder has also been swinging the bat better following a prolonged cold spell, going 7-for-24 (.292) over his last seven games. Marte went 2-for-3 with two walks, a triple and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
It was a typically wild Coors Field contest, as the two teams combined for 21 runs, and Marte did his part to keep the line moving. The 34-year-old has spent most of the season hitting second in the order, but he dropped down to sixth Sunday with rookie Francisco Alvarez getting a look in the two hole. Over his last 16 games, Marte's slashing .302/.362/.396 with a homer, five steals, eight runs and eight RBI.

Marte went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 10-1 win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Marte has hit safely in just two of his last six games, though both instances have been multi-hit efforts. He's added three of his 14 steals this season in that span. While the outfielder continues to see consistent playing time in right field, he's slashing just .241/.305/.302 with two home runs, 14 RBI and 17 runs scored through 46 contests. It makes for easily one of the weakest batting lines of his career.

EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old was hit by a pitch during Wednesday's contest and will be held out of the starting nine for at least one day. Marte went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Monday's loss to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
He had some trouble communicating in the outfield with Brandon Nimmo, resulting in multiple potential outs turning into extra-base hits for Washington, but Marte did his best to balance that out on offense. The 34-year-old has four multi-hit performances in the last seven games, batting .357 (10-for-28) over that stretch and pushing his slash line on the season up to .243/.304/.294 with one homer, 11 steals, 10 RBI and 14 runs through 37 contests.
