Marte (migraines) hit on the field and ran the bases Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marte seems to be symptom-free after a string of migraine headaches sent him to the injured list last week. He's eligible to be activated as early as this Thursday. Mark Canha and Jeff McNeil have been sharing starts in right field for the Mets in Marte's absence.

While the Mets continue to believe Marte (migraines) will need only a minimum 10-day stay on the injured list, he could go on the paternity list at the end of July, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder is currently eligible to be activated from the IL on July 27, but he might not return to the lineup for a few days after his activation. Marte is one of many Mets who have failed to meet expectations this season, slashing .254/.308/.332 through 84 games with 24 steals but only five homers, 28 RBI and 38 runs.

Marte was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to July 17, due to migraines, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marte tried some pregame baseball activities prior to the Mets' series finale Thursday afternoon against the White Sox and was apparently still feeling off. A string of migraine headaches is what has kept him out of action all week, and now he'll remain sidelined through at least next Thursday. Mark Canha should draw the majority of the work in right field in Marte's absence.

Marte (migraines) took flyballs in the outfield Thursday morning and said he could "maybe" return to the lineup Friday in Boston, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marte said he was feeling better when speaking with reporters after being held out of the lineup for a third consecutive day due to the migraines. It's a good sign that he was able to take flyballs, and it sounds like he is day-to-day.

Marte will undergo tests with a specialist after experiencing two migraines within the span of a week, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marte is missing a second straight game Wednesday due to the issue. He has experienced migraines in the past, but they haven't been as close together as they've been this time around, so the Mets are looking for what the cause could be.

Marte (migraine) remains out of the lineup Wednesday against the White Sox.

Marte was scratched from the lineup Tuesday against the White Sox due to a migraine headache, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mark Canha is now in right field and batting eighth in Tuesday night's series opener versus Chicago. It sounds like a day-to-day situation for Marte, who tallied his 24th stolen base of the season in Sunday's series finale against the Dodgers.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Marte singled to lead off the fifth before stealing second and coming around to score for the game's first run. He's been running more often this season as he has 24 steals in 84 games after totaling just 18 steals in 118 games last year. His hitting numbers have been down in 2023 in comparison to the last several years, as he's slashing .254/.308/.332 with five homers, 28 RBI, 38 runs and a 16:66 BB:K over 307 plate appearances. It is worth noting he has been the victim of some bad luck this season, however, evidenced by his .309 BABIP.

Marte (illness) is back in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Marte was held out Saturday due to a stomach bug, but it would seem he's gotten it out of his system as he will be back in there to face right-hander Bobby Miller in the series finale. The veteran is running but the rest of his game has been well below expectations. His slugging percentage is down 135 points from a season ago.
